you're correct, but also it's like.... are we really in the timeline in which we categorize and differentiate the various types of school shootings? yes. yes we are.
That and #StepUpNotOut are such flagrant derelictions of responsibility. You know what would stop these school shootings? If people just befriended those weird kids! I guess those kindergarteners didn't do enough to befriend the total stranger who came and shot them to death at Sandy Hook?
This is just an attempt by adults to rationalize a scenario in which they aren't responsible and put the onus on fixing things on the kids being affected, just so long as it's not the solution the kids themselves already decided to fight for because, again, that might require adults taking some responsibility or changing in some capacity.
I see the point you're trying to make but that's a broad assumption on my attitude towards school shootings and a realistic fix would be complex enough that many factors would more than likely be required for any meaningful change. My statement wasn't a end all be all solution to that particular situation.
Oh I was referring to the tweet that Fondue posted.
Sorry I started that post, got a phone call, walked away and came back to it. Much transpired in my absence.
I just assumed the Fondue tweet was hilarious
