think it means hayward's gone. he really wanted to play with hill.
Blake staying with Clips. What a disaster for my Wiz!
but good for our friendship
What is the Clippers' path forward? I don't see a core built around Blake and DJ going anywhere anytime soon.
What the fuck did OKC give up to get Paul George WTF IS GOING ON
Oladipo and Sabonis, but there has to be more then that.
Edit : nope, just Dipo and Sabonis.
Supposedly that's all; no picks. WTF Indiana?
max blake, let him play at a high level next year then trade him and jordan
or
max blake, see if westbrook opts out and if pg wants to come to then make space to make it happen
either's better than letting him go for nothing
Indiana's asking price was supposedly too steep for the Celts then they flip PG for Oladipo and Sabonis?
shows how scared other teams are of PG walking next summer
kinda strange, OKC still ain't all that good and i find it hard to believe George will enjoy an even more rustic and small-town market than Indiana. be surprised if he stayed. Magic must be ecstatic. but, p much 0 risk for Presti. Oladipo's contract is terrible and Sabonis was kinda whatever, worth seeing if they can convince PG to stay given no superstar will ever sign with OKC ever.
think Boston blew it a little bit. Zach Lowe reported the sticking point was a Lakers/Nets first rounder they refused to relinquish which seems a fair bet to get George and Hayward to join Horford and IT.
OKC will be better but still see them as a solid 4 seed at best, Clippers will tread mediocrity, Jazz will free fall with Hill and Hayward gone. nothing much to change the NBA hierarchy. if this compels Hayward to take his talents to South Beach instead of Southie that could shake things up p good in the East tho.
As a Magic fan that trade makes me so sad
We trade Oladipo and Sabonis and it eventually turns into T. Ross + a 2020 Top 20 protected 1st (or 2 2nds if that doesn't convey)
OKC trade Oladipo and Sabonis and get fucking Paul George
Also this is so bad if true
.@GoodmanESPN: At deadline, BOS offered IND 4 firsts (including BKN pick that ended up #1) for Paul George. IND got Oladipo/Sabonis. 0 picks
I find it hard to believe they turned down four firsts but holy shit if they did
At the time they didn't know 100% that he would be leaving, or that he wouldn't make All-NBA thus preventing them from offering the 5 year Supermax
It's still honestly fucking crazy, and I can't see Ainge being that liberal with the picks since he's generally been pretty conservative (outside of the Kevin Garnett trade)
Edit : lol https://twitter.com/Original_Turner/...67888793980928
Was about to argue your point on Dipo's contract but you're right, that 4yr/85m is just now kicking in. I do think he's better than he showed in OKC but that's such a dumb fucking trade for Indy holy shit. I'd rather have Kevin Love who I then have the option of flipping for picks
We're really 0/3 on interesting FA moves so far
CP3 to Houston could be worse, should be interesting at least
O interest in watching PG and Russ try to share in OKC
Blake staying in Clipland under Doc is boring
Stealing a take I saw elsewhere:
PG and Russ might enjoy playing together enough to stay together... but with the Lakers

Thanks for the tweets reporting the "theft" of Paul George by @okcthunder.
Our investigative findings: totally legal & very savvy.
hhahahahahahaha
oh man i really find this to be super entertaining. stupid fucking danny ainge had all the assets in the world to get him and instead he gets shit on because he tried to be frugal. what a fucking idiot.
