I play FGO pretty casually but I spend my AP, which can just take 15-20 minutes at time and it usually doesn't cap (but again that isn't hard to prevent). I only recently went hard for Nero Fest, then very hard for Xmas, and even harder for Solomon raid because of the materials. I wanted to get to the point where I did not need to worry about skill gems being my road block to leveling characters, which it was. But now I will go back to doing the daily stuff, grinding some materials from specific locations, and emptying most of the event shops.

What I like about FGO, aside the story, is the combat is fun when they make challenging content, even with our Clairvoyence EX, a lot of the side events have decent/amusing story, and you can play for like 30 minutes a day here and there and get what you want done. It's a nice small break at work when I'm drafting motions or doing research to be like "oh let me do a few fights in FGO to spend some AP" and them come back to work 10 minutes later. I also like how there is no real power creep so once you get a character 10/10/10 and max level you are good to go and you don't need to worry about needing to grind or RNG pull more gear for them 3-6 months down the road.

the only other gatcha game i tried was FF-DFFO. The story not really anything and while the game looks pretty its requires a much larger time commitment than FGO to keep up with everything. It also doesn't help that every event is literally the same thing and I am not a fan of relying on co-op partners.

Rolled a little more on Merlin. 990 + 20 Tickets, whiffed. Only got 1 SSR total from that amount, which was Altera.

GSSR gave me Cuzilla, so atleast I'm happy with that.

Got Altera'd from the GSSR. Not sure how I feel about it since I don't think anyone on my FL has her strengthened version up. An improvement over Siegfried or Nero as an AoE Saber, I guess, but I feel like the grailed SAlters I've tried were better, too.

Not too bad I gues, considering my assassin was Hassan, but I was hoping for Jeanne since I plan on rolling for THE Hasan.

I’m torn between assassin/extra for NP2 jeanne/jack, berserker for Cu attempt (but if I get Vlad I’ll cry - have him NP1 but don’t care for him), or rider as Quetz, Drake (but NP1 for AOE is meh) or Ozy would make me happy

1/3 chance at getting Cu. He's story locked, so rare.
3/4 chance for getting a rider you want. Quetz is story locked unfortunately, so she's somewhat rare. Ozy and Drake can spook you at any time.
NP2 Jack is brutal good. Jeanne is good at NP2, but not needed. The extra defense still helps though.

Got Altera'd from the GSSR. Not sure how I feel about it since I don't think anyone on my FL has her strengthened version up. An improvement over Siegfried or Nero as an AoE Saber, I guess, but I feel like the grailed SAlters I've tried were better, too.

Altera is great, but she does do less damage than Salter on NP. Salter at NP1 is a 450% AoE (50-150% higher than normal), compared to Altera's 400% at NP1. Salter also has a native 50% buster buff, whereas Altera does not. That being said, Altera is still great. She can self buff, and also self heal. Has a star gather skill as well. She does really well on normal card damage, which is great. And her NP still does hit pretty hard.

Yeah I’d be super excited to get Cu as I use him in my flist all the time, but RNG is RNG

Edit: rolled assassin/extra and got Jack for NP2 so very happy (even if she is lv 10 bond so I don’t use her much anymore)

I just got a Note 9 and damn, it runs spectacularly well, I was kind of worried because iPhones have this huge blue letterbox around the game and is ugly as sin, but there's only a slight pillar box around the sides and it's black so I don't notice it.

Also, I noticed that now they ask for your location when doing a transfer, there's only a few choices but none are EU countries... there's Vietnam though! and Australia. Selected USA, I guess it doesn't really matter, or at least I hope so.

Grats on any who got gramps. In other news, they just killed emulator again on JP (shocker, I know). This will likely hit NA during the next update, so make sure you have your transfer code ready, incase anyone plays on emulator.
