No idea. In JP you only get the prisms from paid rolls still. Not that big of a deal anymore since the update this month lets you vendor gacha shit for them.

I looked at some screens and the rainbow currency NA has is what the paid gems in JP look like. JP free gems are just white diamonds.

That makes sense... Also, after about 25 or so pulls of doo-doo I got a really fantastic/unreal 10 Pull just now.

All from one pull, plus a 4* weapon but was a dupe, still useful. The only on banner one was Sophie's lol, I was pulling for the other one on Sophie's banner since that fella (never played his game) is currently my strongest attack, period, sitting at over 1,100 attack power right now. Mileena isn't far off though with ~1080 Magic, so I'll throw her as my friend unit and use that new Mirrage. Yay!

All said, right now my strategy with 3* weapons is upgrading them to max like the 4* ones... I figure I'll probably not have 4* Maxxed weapons for all the character at any given time so having 3* Max, even if an "Off character" weapont to boost their stats is a good idea. I am upgrading Artes for the ones I like the most... Rising Falcon, Shredding Talons, so forth. But those Materials are more rare.

Lastly, I thought I had obtained a few Mirrage upgrade items from quests but it seems like I haven't... guess I'll have to google where to find those (New Mirrages start at level 1)

Mirror's are still annoying to level even 5 months+ later on JP. I usually just get all mine to 20-30 and give up.

And yea, the 'meta' strat is to just have 1 good art and then rest of your grid be stat sticks. Most of my characters can get 2000-2200 before anima bonus like that. A lot of the good artes also have HP recovery upgrades so you don't have to waste a slot on a healer either.

Yah what I can tell about Mirrages is you need those Super Chiral crystals to upgrade them, guess I'll be saving those . Does the JP version have Medium/Big ones yet? Cause I notice we only get small.

Yeah. They add them to event shops eventually which help a little.

Been throwing a crap ton of Mirrogems (the non-paid free pull currency) trying to get some gear for Luke (Only played Tales of Symphonia and atm playing Tales of Abyss, although I already know some "spoilers") so I can use him and ended up getting a sorta pimped out Sophie instead lol. Got her 4* Weapon and 3x unique 3* weapons.

Also got lucky again finally and got Mileena's Mirage, although i'm kinda torn on it cause I really liked her healing one as a emergency heal, but still very happy I got lucky.

Gonna try and save for Tear event so I can get her and gear her up.

Whoever you want to use. There's no meta or real powercreep. You'll want to change your party for each event anyways for the anima resonance and to have drop boosts from event units. If you want someone who will always have 50% stat boost, then go for Ix or Mileen mirror

NA already got Edna/Mikleo event? That seems fast. It's getting a rerun this month on JP which I'm happy about since I didn't grind it all last time.

Mikleo is a pretty good ranged/healer which I'm lacking. The summer event has you use female only and male only teams.

NA skipped Tear and Jade event and went straight to Edna/mikleo, presumably because they are more 'popular' in the west.

Well, I can't really say I'm surprised. While I liked it more than ToL, there was still some definite monotony to the game play while you had some obvious gacha money sinks like 5 fucking different daily dungeon options and their resultant difficulty levels. Also would've vastly preferred character learning their skills somehow as opposed to needing the weapons (both from pulls and equipped).

Oh well, more tablet space, I guess.

Sounds like it was probably coordinated to get the ToL players over to Rays and milk that last little bit out before announcing this. ToL *just* closed down.

Tales has the roster for a gacha game, but its just a translation between game and mobile that doesn't quite work.
