I didn't realize Disney was sending food and drinks with every digital rental. /s

Dudes stop, you can't justify this it is nonsense lol.

$30 for people to rent this to watch once with their kids on their 40 inch tv in their apartment while also paying for a sub. This shit better not become the norm.

I feel this will be the test. As has been mentioned, Mulan has the benefit of being a family movie to test the waters. Those other movies, not so much, so I imagine those studios are watching to see if this does well.

That said, not sure I really see the point in pushing this or any of those movies out. Are studios back to making new movies at such a level that they're worried about a stockpile of movies building up?

This isnt even the first time this has been tried. Way back in I think 2012 Tower Hiest was gonna be on demand at the same time as in theaters and they wanted to charge something like 60 to 70 PER VIEWING. Most of you just didnt hear about it becasue theaters revolted and forced them to back off.

The rental lasts as long as you have your D+ sub, so there is that.

Oh, and the humor in it is very well placed and subtle. They didn't try to be off brand Marvel with it.

To counter my post, my wife just finished watching it and absolutely hated it lol. She went on a 15min rant tearing it to shreds.

Might be a love it or hate it movie.

It was good, but not as good as the animated version IMHO. 7.5/10

Should have gone full wuxia and embraced it. But they tried to walk the line between action flick and live action adaptation to mixed (but overall good enough) results. It seemed to move hella fast with pacing halfway in and didn't stop to explain when they brought in new imagery.

I just feel like with the visuals they had, Disney had the pass to push the envelope here hard and went safe instead.

The pacing was so weird. I didn't hate it. I didn't love it.

I got around to watching, fight scenes were nothing special (only because I am a huge fan of martial arts movies). Some scenes as well music made me feel like I was watching a Star Wars movie. I hated that. Some of the atmos sound effects were really good.

    7/10 for me.

The problem with the music is they played Reflection... for every scene...
