Evangelicals are generally the ones that are pushed to spread the Gospel to everyone. Catholics don't really care for that and are pretty inclusive.

Think of it like a Venn diagram. Christianity is two circles that don't overlap - Catholic and Protestant. Protestants include sects like Baptist, Lutheran, Latter Day Saints (kinda but w/e), etc. Evangelicals can be in any of these Protestant sects- it's more a way of spreading the Bible. Some Lutherans are evangelical some aren't (i.e. they just go to church, don't bother spreading the word). God's tongues and such are in some other protestant sect but may or may not be evangelical.

This is it in a nutshell. It's one (out of many) of the differences between the Catholics and Protestants. Not all protestants are evangelical, but I would say they are for sure the vocal majority, just do to the nature of what an evangelical is...to be vocal. I could imagine there are some evangelical Catholics, but I have never met one. I imagine in the bible belt the two religions have blended together a bit, so it's very probable.

Protestants don't believe Catholics are Christians, hence why that phrase exists. It means Christians= protestants, not all Christians.
