Can we do the 1 comes in 1 comes out method? Send one white person back to Europe and bring in a coffee farmer from Guatemala.

No.
"Chain migration" is a really interesting way to say "families."
Racism in 2017 is way less subtle because try harder to find it.
Not saying it isn't there, but when something has become so pervasive and divisive in every facet of the news cycle and many people's daily lives as race relations have in the past 3-5 years people are definitely going to start pointing stuff out they most likely would have casually ignored or waved off before. On all sides.

I really need to stop posting on facebook. Got 3 dumbasses trying to sell me the tax bill is good for the economy. (All ex military)
well, it probably will be. its primary failures are its cost and its inequitable distribution of benefit, but many ideas contained within ought prove salutary. i'm not sure I could post more in depth about the corporate tax rate than I already have, but cutting it by 14% good, capping corporate interest deductions good, territorial tax system good, encouraging the repatriation of capital held abroad good.
the plan is in many ways a half measure, and measures like slashing the top marginal rate are indefensible, but it's not the catastrophe many are making it out to be, and it affects some desperately needed reforms already enacted by most first world nations.
Except they don't talk about those points at all. They just keep on saying it'll bring more jobs and let companies do more things. =/
I've read the tax stuff. It straight up is very good for most people.
For the short term. It's the future that is uncertain, plus the gleaming bullshit that is the soft repeal.
People are happy because this will put just a little more money in their pockets - so happy they'll be too busy gloating about a few extra bucks a week while their employer finds ways to terminate them.
In the long term your tax cuts will fade away in order to subsidize the permanent tax cuts of corporations.
A continued backward approach - the rich will always get the money eventually. Society benefits when it is first filtered through the poor and moves up the chain. It will never flow back down of its own volition.
Creation of a passthrough entity loophole, failure to close the carried interest loophope, raising the cap on the estate tax, and top tax rate reductions are all totally indefensible.
Messing with the Mortgage deduction is fine with me. Lowering the corporate rate (if they had closed parallel loopholes) would have been fine. Stupid private airplane code clarification is fine.
We should switch to a sensible implementation of the VAT like every other developed nation.
Q for AG: If they had said "there are no more taxes" would it have been good or bad for the economy in your books?
