If we are so worried about people in the past who owned slaves having their statues and monuments taken down even if they were relatively nice to them then why don't we just give everyone today a slave or two. If it were nice and fair where everyone had a slave then we couldn't look back and judge people for doing the same thing we are doing. Sure, you could force your slave to take down the statue for you but that would make you a hypocrite which is probably the worst thing about this idea of mine imo.
