This is the heart of it. You used to be immersed in it because you, like all of us, were also a teenage shithead. Now that you're older you look at these kids and can't believe their behavior when I bet your LS had 3 dudes just like them.

"It's okay to call people who upset you the n-word" is not a political opinion.

For any given game that is popular enough (and PUBG definitely falls into this category), there are any number of streamers to choose from who are probably more skilled than Pewdiepie and don't share his barely concealed racism. Kids could watch any of them, and many do. A certain subset has stuck with Pewdiepie because they LIKE his attitude. If they didn't, that muslim stunt he pulled would've been the end of him.
