Now that we've had the last major WWE event of the year, it's time for me to list my personal top ten best matches and other awards, etc. All opinions are just that, your mileage may vary. I've only really watched WWE and NXT so I will not be including TNA, ROH, NJPW etc. Feel free to add them in your own list if you want.

FF8 was my first FF and as my personal entry point to the series, I can never go against it no matter what.
I was never expecting a remake or anything, but come on at least release the damn thing on PS4. >.>

Anyway to stay on topic, the KO/Sami match was awesome booking IMO. WWE blurred the lines of face and heel and I personally found myself cheering for KO and Sami (it was obvious that they weren't going to fire them when they changed the stipulation into "fired from ALL of WWE" BS) despite them being the "heels".

FF8 was somewhat personal to me during that time in my life. Enjoyed many nights playing after getting home from work at 2AM. Also, was the only time I bought a game from K-B Toys because everywhere else in my small town was sold out. I also really liked the draw system and how it worked with junctions and stats. Thought it was really cool. I can't do a rank because I haven't played some and I also don't recall others. I can say however that from a game play standpoint, FF X-2 is one of my favs.

I can't go through and make a list of fav matches but I'd have to say Omega, Okada, Naito, and Styles were my top guys. Asuka is easily top woman. I'd give a breakout star of the year to Hiromu Takahashi. Guy has charisma in spades and his series of matches with Dragon Lee and KUSHIDA were always contenders for stealing the show.

I will forever stand by my belief that 8 has the best story of the series. There is some whack shit with the gameplay, and the games end game design of explicitly making you not use Magic (outside of Aura)is dumb as fuck. But overall it's got some of the best characters the best story in the series to me, assuming you can get past Squall's emo-ness

On topic, matches of the year is the 3 Omega vs Okada matches, Omega vs Naito (G1) at the top 4.

Takahashi vs KUSHIDA, Ricochet, and even Taguchi were all pretty damn good. He's easily my favorite junior/cruiser. He's just one year back from excursion and he's already in the main event, albeit tag match, with the ace of the company and the head booker.

Kalmado, thanks for posting that because I was trying to remember when Hiromu first got the Mysterio entrance. I knew he didn't in the 2nd match against KUSHIDA because Ryugoku is like MSG, ain't no space to really get a wide enough entrance area without looking silly.

NJPW wrapped for the year this morning. Still no final card for WK, though there's apparently a holiday party/awards thing tonight, and maybe they'll do it there... or tomorrow. Omega/Jericho is now no DQ, and Suzuki/Goto is title vs. hair as expected.

Notable lack of any tag matches. The heavyweight tag division has had a ceiling for a while, though perhaps LIJ may change that. As for the juniors, I really was digging the RPG/Bucks stuff, but I think that was more about the entire progression of that all rather than any specific match.
