Here is my list. I had to include each wrestler only 1 time otherwise it was like Okada, Omega, Naito, and Ishii in almost every match. There's still a ton of matches I really loved and couldn't fit on here. 2017 sucked in a lot of ways, but damn good wrestling to be found.

In any other year, a trio of Naito/Ishii matches would have a lot more attention. Too stacked this year.

Jason Jordan, lol. I'm kind of hoping that he just keeps this up til Mania. Yeah, I know that if he's still doing this crap after the Rumble, I'll probably say "get on with it already!" but I find him hilarious in how annoying he is... in kind of a Taichi way.

Omega/Jericho is no DQ or countout.

The Suzuki/Goto match isn't title vs. hair. It's hair versus hair, and the title on the line. Nobody else allowed at ringside.

The 4 challenger teams for the 6-man Gauntlet:
Taguchi/Juice/Makabe
Beretta/Yano/Ishii
War Machine & Elgin (LOL)
Taichi/Iizuka/ZSJ

At least half of these people would be expected for the rumble anyway, but it's a long list of people that don't have a match on the main card (yet): Liger, Tiger Mask, Tenzan, Kojima, Finlay, Bushi, Taka, Kanemaru, Desperado, Chase, Hangman, Yujiro, Nagata, Nakanishi, and YOSHI-HASHI.

They could scrape together a 6-man match like BC vs. Tenzan/Kojima/Finlay from that group, but I don't know if they'd bother. May depend on how many legends they have that want to appear for the rumble.

Played hookey today and been watching New Japan World most of the day. A lot of the older programs are not complete. For instance, for WK2 the Angle match isn't there. But damn it, there is so much great wrestling content. Just finished watching Nakamura vs. Suzuki from the 2011 G1 Climax. Nak was in the beginning of his transfer to full blown Strong Style Nakumura. So incredible to watch. Also, fucking Naito getting more cheers than Tanahashi in early 2011 was crazy as well.

If peeps only want to be sports entertained, that's cool. But if you want to watch a ton of great wrestling, do yourself a solid and get New Japan World. Lord knows you can still get free WWE Network every month by rotating emails or whatever.

Yup. Steph needs to stop walking the line. A heel to the male roster, and a face for the womens locker room isn't working.

A dynamic like that can work (Trips being heel on the main roster but face in NXT), it's just more that everytime Steph is involved in a women's angle, it's all about her and how progressive and amazing she is.

I have no problem with Steph doing this crap in general, even flanked by all the ladies. My biggest issue is just interrupting the angle and how awkward the whole thing was. Plus there's no telling with her if she's going to be Chief Branding Officer or Raw Commissioner when she's making an appearance. Nice of her to lead the ladies and crowd in a Yep chant! Nonetheless, good for them. Hopefully the match won't be a total trainwreck.


NJPW had some holiday party or something (it's on the site) with some awards that happened this morning. Didn't watch, but I saw on Chris Charlton's twitter the results of the fan votes:

MVP: Omega > Naito > Okada > Hiromu > Tanahashi (Omega apparently double the votes of Naito)
MOTY: Okada/Omega (Dominion), O/O (WK), Omega/Naito, Okada/Shibata, Okada/EVIL

Is it too late for Jericho to ask for a fan vote for which match goes on last?

Jericho is too old school. Title is always more important then any other match, so will go on last. It could be elmsowrth vs hornswoggle vs gobledly gooker for the heavyweight title and Jericho would still have it go on last.
