Kind of expected to and fell asleep just before the Heavy Tag (maybe during intros?) and had to watch the last 6 matches over the course of the afternoon/evening. Didn't expect it to be close to last year's show, so overall I was plenty happy. It was a very consistent show, at least.
I'm sad that I couldn't watch the internet meltdowns live over the main event result. I don't find it such an egregious error as people are making it out to be and am willing to see where they go from here, particularly with Naito.
NYD starts in 15 min. Link for the stream is up on world now.
Still a couple matches to go on NYD, but some good stuff already. (Not the matches, really, but that's expected.)
Kitamura vs. Switchblade is the first of Kitamura's 7 match series. Assuming that he's "graduating" at the end of that.
Oh shit moment:

I'm pumped to get home from work to watch New Years Dash even though I checked some of the spoilers. Sounds very entertaining. I've never been a Jericho guy but his last WWE run plus this, man, to kill it this late in a career added to his entire body of work definitely puts him up there as the true GOAT.
Future Hall of Famer without a doubt; speaking of, with the Rumble approaching it's about time to start making announcements for this year's class.
I'm going to guess Batista headlines, with the New Age Outlaws and ... maybe this is the year Sable gets in?
Can't think of a headliner, I think Batista still wants to wrestle, but his movie career is too hot right now. Christian should get in.
Is Bull Nakano in yet? If not, going with Bull Nakano. If so, Akira Hokoto. She never worked for WWE/F but worked for WCW.

Oh, ok. Anyone think that this will even last through Sakura Genesis? I wouldn't be surprised if this only lasts to Feb. 10. Way too many heavyweights there, even if they decide to make some combo of Ishii/Yano/Beretta a regular fixture in the tag division outside of the winter.
He does raise a good point. When is that coward Okada going to give Ishii his title shot for beating him in the G1 back in 2016?
Also announced for the MMC, from SDL Jimmy Uso & Naomi, and from Raw Apollo Crews & Nia Jax. Guess we know who on that team will be taking the pin.
Is it just me or does YOSHI-HASHI look like a dude who's been dead the whole movie, but nobody remembered to tell him?
You know, he's not terrible but he sometimes just looks like he doesn't care. Also, that Head Hunter shirt is terrible. Better than Loose Explosion and having it written on the ass of your pants.
Is it a bad thing that i really dislike Chaos overall? lol
Random thing, there's a con this weekend, and of course like every Florida con, Mick Foley is there, but other notables that'll be there are Penta El Zero, Leva Bates (Blue Pants in NXT), Rick and Scott Steiner. I always wanted to meet both Steiners at the same time, so this will be a treat.
The Steiner Bros should definitely be in the Hall of Fame but there's no way anyone will reach out to Scott anytime soon.
Scott got all weird and tatt’d the fuck out
Chaos overall is pretty unlikable, except for Ishii who will 141 BITE YOU. I'm really not a fan of Osprey or Beretta. Jado and Gedo are there to basically job. Goto is just sort of...there I guess. Between the ropes for the most part Roppangi 3K is good, but they both seem to lack charisma. I find Rocky annoying (always have). Toru Yano does bring some fun to the mix at least. Jay White would have been better served joining either LIJ or Suzuki-Gun for his purpose, especially the latter since they are all about fucking up anyone who crosses their path.
