I didn't think Styles/Brock was bad at all. Sure there were some spots that weren't the smoothest, but match was legit and Brock looked motivated. That calf crusher spot was awesome.

All the matches had weird botches. I don't think I've ever an Alicia Fox match where she didn't screw up. But for the most part they all recovered and things were fine. The main event went off exactly as planned and that's the problem.

Yeah the main event was the biggest waste of talent I've seen.

But like Krandor said, at least we got that Trips scared face out of it.

Supposedly Brock was selling the knee backstage after and people legit thought he hurt his knee during the match. So yeah, seems for once he was motivated. Must have begun contract negotiations.

I thought there was a report he's signed until 2019? Or was it 2018? My hope though is Brock was just motivated to put on a good match because he's gotta know AJ is a top tier talent and will do whatever it takes to have a great match. Sort of like how Joe brought it and Brock clearly seemed into the program. I have no illusion though that his #1 motivator is money. I wonder what he'd say if he was asked to candidly answer about having to basically give Reigns multiple coronations.

His last contractual date is Wrestlemania 2018. Current plans are still for Roman to win the Rumble yet again, and this time actually defeat Brock for the title.

I just made the mistake of watching the main event, and thought that it was only because he was in the ring with Finn, but I think he kept doing it after. That match blew. Outside of Braun and a few short segments, it felt like a lot of standing around doing absolutely nothing and trying to pretend that this was something epic when it was just terrible. Cena gets called back to jump up and down on the apron like a geek. He did nothing in the match except for 3 AAs in a 15 second span and was 1/5 of a suplex spot before I guess Papa Haitch had designated Cena the chaperone who had to make sure that Nakamura, Roode, Joe, and Balor all were settled back in the locker room when anything significant could happen.

This match wouldn't have had the name recognition, but would have been immensely better if they dropped HHH, Angle, Shane, and Cena (seriously, why was he in this match?) for Wyatt, Jason Jordan (yes, I'm going there), Ziggler, and Rusev, all of whom were not in action on this show.

That Jordan didn't run down to try and mess with HHH was even worse character assassination than what HHH did to him on Raw.

That Sami and Owens DID run down and then were CHASED AWAY BY SHANE MCMAHON is even worse than that.
