So a couple of weeks ago I came across a DB reddit thread asking "what would you like to see in the final episode/s of DBS?". Interesting enough question so why not ask it here? Personally I´d love to see Goku and Vegeta fight one last time to settle the "rivalry" once and for all. No holds barred to the death. Senzu beans/dragonballs ready to revive. One can dream right?

Unless Vegeta gets something that can rival the kaioken (his pride is never gonna let him learn the exact same technique) the fight would either

A. End in a short time
B. The fight be a sham (for example, goku simply not using it; but no matter what the result of the fight, we're gonna know he coulda ended it any time he wanted)

Vegeta getting a new form that rivals ssb kaioken is a given of course. If he doesn´t get a powerup that rivals kaioken then pretty much every fight from now on is the Goku show (more than it allready is). As I said earlier I came across some spoilers (tho at that time I think still unverified) that Vegeta is training in the hyperbolic time chamber again before the ToP.

I don't see Vegeta getting a new form and then Goku not being able to get the same form. It'd definitely have to be a technique or something, but not particularly a (super)saiyan form.

I don't see the writers don't that.

I agree that that's what they'd have to do, but I don't see them actually doing it, so that's just gonna be a pipe dream for people wanting to see that kinda fight between the two of them.


Also, anyone else get pet peeved when they act like Krillin and Goku are still best friends? From the last 15 years of footage, Vegeta/Goku seem like better friends than Krillin and Goku are, lol

I like the way the manga handles SSJG/SSJB better in my opinion. Seems to make both forms a lot more practical and strategical than the usual "ay yo check out this Kaioken shit right here!"

I haven´t read the manga so I´m not sure how exactly SSJB works there but from what I´ve gathered it just explains it more thoroughly and that SSJB is basically just like free scaling and fine tuning their power from min to max right? Either way I don´t really like this for the simple reason that it makes it a lot harder (almost impossible) to tell the actual "power levels" of Goku and Vegeta. It´s much less clear defined than SSJ > SSJ2 > SSJ3

Not really, Goku spent the better part of his entire life with Krillin while only recently getting to know Vegeta (who spent the better half...maybe 3/4s of DBZ trying to fuck with Goku and still dislikes him as tsundere as he can be) I wouldn't be surprised that Goku considers Krillin more of a friend.

For me it's the fact that Goku still considers Roshi a person to train him lol, what kind of techniques can he teach Goku at this point? And considering the Mafuba, would it even matter?

I'm hoping it's Cell too, but haven't paid a lot of attention to the promo stuff. Doesn't Frieza despise Goku & Friends to the point where he'd gladly sabotage the tournament and let the universe be destroyed if it meant any modicum of revenge? At least Cell has the "I want to constantly test my strength" attitude.

Frieza doesn't exist in u6, the same way vegeta/goku don't.

They're parallel universes, but don't have the exact same people. Diff shit took place and there are a lot of differences. THey just have the same planets (aside from ones that have been blown up in one and not in another) and general species. There aren't any identical individuals we know of though.

There won't be another universe frieza and even if there were, he wouldn't be fighting for u7, he'd be fighting for his own

This is what makes me like the choice for freiza, despite not being a fan of frieza.

He's such an explosive element. Is he going to fight w/ us? or look for a chance to backstab us? Is he gonna be afraid of beerus like usual? or will he not give a fuck since he's only gonna be alive for 24hrs anyways? How's he going to interact w/ the u6 Saiyans or the other people who are stronger than him? (as he's not used to this). What's his dialog going to be like with Frost? Hit? Toppo (who is all justice and Frieza evil AF)

Frieza, if you turn your brain off on how he comes to our team (because it makes no sense and you do gotta turn your brain off not to rage), is an amazing pick. They have so much they can do story-wise w/ him in the tournament

I'd imagine I'd enjoy Cell in this arc a lot more with him having to do a 180 and fight with the Z fighters, including teaming with the androids he absorbed, all to save life itself; which isn't a stretch since Cell never really wanted to go all Zamasu on the world anyways. Freeza is vindictive enough to sabotage the team, which is itself boring since we see it a mile away before Freeza is even in the "next episode promo".

I just think we've overdone Freeza. He's important, but at this point boring and predictable. Also, we already had a "freeza" in Super. Of course the alternate universe versions of the characters aren't exactly the same, but there's no denying that the spiritual equivalent of Freeza was played out in the U6/7 tourney.
