Random comment but Goku has in fact (until proven otherwise) never gone KKx10 again since against Hit. The one time he actually did push it to x10 it was dramatically different visually and fucked him up super badly afterwards. No evidence to suggest he's done that again--probably just x2. Historically he's had to call out every time he goes past that anyway, except when he was supposedly going at x10 for like, hours, vs Frieza.

I think the manga made Trunks look like a total sociopath here. He doesn't care that his future got destroyed? What about the hundreds of people that were relying on him? They're all dead. Yajirobe and those kids are fucking dead, man. He was super traumatized by that in the anime, for good reason. Those people literally gave him plothax spirit bomb energy (in the anime) then got murked afterwards. GG no re. Dude doesn't even give a shit here lol

Regarding Trunks, I see what ya mean. I just think the pace is so much faster in the manga he doesn't have the same sorta time he did in the anime to process all of the insanity and elicit the appropriate emotional response.

Dragonball likes to mislead. If they've been hyping up Jiren this long, there's at least one sleeper, stronger than him that hasn't been revealed yet.

Cell was though lol. They built it up for a long time that 17 and 18 were gonna be the big bads. They killed the other androids, destroyed Trunks world for years, and beat the shit out of everyone at once while Goku was having a heart attack. Then they ended up just being food for Cell who wasn't even introduced until later.

Aside from that I agree lol.

They hyped of Fat Buu, ended up with Kid Buu; w/ Fat Buu on our team to fight vs him.

They went w/ the whole obvious "Black is Zamasu" thing then was like "nope their ki is different" then while still holding onto the thought he was Zamasu, then you get Zamasu to show up and help him fight. Then BOOM all together it was Zamasu the whole time. Had the super obvious, to second guessing, to wtf, to back to damn it was the obvious the whole time.

As Eurell stated with Cell. Androids is what was hyped up.

They have a way of being roundabout w/ the main threat of a saga. With JIREN being spelled out in all caps since before the tourney even starts, and the fact that we're 3-4 eps into the tourney and haven't even seen all the contestants yet, there's someone else out there that's gonna come out of nowhere

Is it me, or is the manga going at ludicrous speed? Or maybe it's something about manga pacing these days?

What I mean is that if you consider "Zamasu" as a major story arc, then it's length is quite laughable.
Major story arcs in DBZ manga would last for volumes, and their key battles would keep going for quite a while (and that's without taking the anime into account). The Zamasu saga felt like a series of key moments, rushed to completion in just about a full manga volume. All major battles lasted a couple of panels, and even its ending happened in the same issue as the final confrontation.

Things are getting minorly interesting now that we are shooing out the clowns. But unfortunately U11's GoD is a literal clown, so I think they'll be staying until near the end, or at least before U6 drops out (it's looking like U11, U6 and U7 are the primary focus).

A Saiyan character reached a new milestone. Those are always special episodes.

They're making a number characters from adversary universes very likeable. Stuff like what we saw today makes it really hard to believe all but one of these universes are being erased.
