In the anime, Whis says the mortal's GoD is the one who beat Beerus in an arm wrestling match. In the newest chapter of the manga, it's revealed that Beerus lost the arm wrestling bout vs the GoD of u4 (quitela or w/e the fuck the mouse's name is). Additionally, there are 2 members from u4 that have not gotten any screen time at all, and we don't even know what they look like.

That said, Jiren may not be the biggest player here (which I suspected early on because they have painted him out to be since day 1 and they always try to have some kinda twist)

You can't really combine the continuities of the manga and the anime; both of them take the outlines that Toriyama gives them and includes completely new material on their own initiative.

I don't think there will be anyone stronger than Jiren; the two U4 bug things that have been hiding so far don't look very strong, and don't have standard "main antagonist" type designs.
