Bay area is going to be slowly baked this weekend. San Francisco is expecting highs in the 80's which is absurd for them. Further inland about 15 miles in (Dublin, Livermore Areas) as well as further south are going to get as hot as 115 this weekend.

Not just bay area pretty much most of norcal. Last I saw most of lake county was already in the 110s. And of course there are those fires up in Shasta and Oroville and who knows where else now. Fuck yeah in a.c. now and gunna be in sf in a couple of hours. This is literally the hottest day in my town this year by a good 7-8 degrees and tomorrow going to be hotter. Mother nature it's stop being stupid it's not the heat of summer it's start prepping for fall time

And I'm only 10 miles away from the ocean where it's about 20F+ cooler.

Woke up to my friend rear-ending another car on the highway going 70MPH this morning. Neither of us got any serious injuries so just feeling grateful that's all it was.

Basically made the entire weekend a cheat day on my diet eating terribly. Which was awesome but already left me feeling not the best for last night's round of bar hopping and trying to walk a stumbling drunk slut back to the hotel. Uggg I still feel nauseous

So Microsoft Windows is notorious that if you have a network drive connection (particularly on laptops) and you log in elsewhere where you are not connected to your network, when you log in, Windows see's the drive can't be connected and just assumes it's gone forever and deletes it. My director is throwing a fit because this keeps happening to her, but obviously when she brings her laptop in and I log in as her, the drives connect as it's connected to the network, and is now complaining about the time it takes to double click a simple .bat file that will automatically reconnect her network drives once she's connected to vpn.

Digging back a bit on this one, but I'm wondering if might relate to a problem a net friend has with her laptop since it happened, well, again.

Basically, for whatever reason, her laptop decides it wants to refuse to acknowledge her home network. I've tried things like having her reinstall drivers, reboot the laptop, power cycle the router, run auto-repair, and so on in hopes that it'd resolve the problem. Of course, it never does, but a few days later the problem usually seems to resolve itself. Trying to get any more technical with her is a pain in the ass because she just wants to rage mode. Says she's tried different wifi methods, too. Otherwise, she just winds up connected to an unidentified network that has no net access while claiming the rest of the house is fine.

Would this happen to fall into one of those "common problem" categories, and if so, there some kind of trick I could try lobbing at her?

So still feeling kind of messed up from drinking Sunday night. And as the better I get the more and the girl I was with realize how unusual it was. Like went from fine to fucked up in a single drink and still messed up way after when we both have done fine drinking much much more recently. Think we might have been slipped something. Luckily managed to drag us back to the hotel before my body gave out

I had something similar happen a long time ago. Big group of us went to a night club and had one drink around 9PM. I didn't wake up until 4PM the next day, missed work, and had the entire night explained to me because I couldn't remember anything. Strange experience for sure.
