Been off the boat for about 4 months and been chillin for the most part. Run into one of my old chiefs and the moment he started talking to me, I could feel my blood pressure start rising. I have never hated anyone in my life but I fucking hate this guy.

Went to Angel Island and Alcatraz last weekend for the first time even though I’ve lived in the Bay Area for 9 years. Decided to get a t-shirt because I’ve never been. I sized down two sizes because I’ve lost weight and go to wear it the other day and it’s still fucking huge on me. I know I’ve lost weight but women’s sizes are notorious for being small especially in the chest area which is my bane but apparently nope.

Lol yeah fuck that , and while I still have a lot of work to do it does feel good to be in clothes that are normal sizes. In this case I was trying to account for my boobs fitting in what I expected to be a tight fitting shirt and should have just gotten a medium like in men’s shirts it seems

i got a pretty severe cut from the back of a bowie knife i was sharpening for a friend. definitely was not expecting the squared back/stock end of the knife to be as sharp as it was.

Yeah, it's a square back. Yours was probably worse, though. The amount of pressure you use to sharpen a knife is a decent bit higher than the amount to cut an apple.

Judging from how much it hurts today, though, the thumb cut is infected. Hurray.

yeah i got it across the front of my left thumb just under the nail as i was drawing the knife back across the stone. i wasn't expecting that side to be sharp at all and hooooo boy it was a surprise. bled all over the place. one of the navy chiefs had commissioned the knife from this crazy fucker in the bazaar in kabul. his trade name was 'mashook' which was supposed to mean 'the lover.' can't comment as i don't speak dari or pashto and i dunno which language it was even supposed to be in but holy shit he made great knives.

i had him make a huge kukri for me, with brass cap/guard and a camel bone handle. wonderful camp axe; it's one of the few things i missed when my old boss's guest house got blown up. glad i missed that shit.
