yeah, a lot of people blame abyssea for XI's decline, but i lay the blame for that on WotG. the patches were too sparse, the mission design is fucking annoying, and the non-story content wasn't very interesting. almost everyone i know quit during WotG.

the story itself is pretty good though, as i'm remembering more about what's going on and getting back into it. it's just annoying to get to.

to be fair, though, abyssea had a lot of stupid design choices, too. fortunately, a lot of those problems are mitigated by the Rhapsodies stuff and Trusts.

WOTG launched in November 2007 (at full price), final story patch dropped in January 2010. It's insane how long they stretched it out. Tough to ask people to stick around for that long.

I enjoyed WoTG areas for Bst/ and /Bst leveling. There was tons of great spots, especially if you had a duo. Wasn't half bad for Blm leveling on pets either. The missions were just too much work for my liking.

Ugh that is the worst. Sucks so bad. Sorry dude. I have never reached that level but I have had really bad IBS days that feel like that. Where I am basically running to the toilet on a regular basis almost like I drank that shit liquid you have to drink before a colonoscopy.

Wet wipes and a smart phone are my best friend in those moments.

Are you sure you aren't in labor with poop babies?

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

If the rate did massively increase and your house is in good shape then shop the insurance.

Next I would check taxes. As Buffster pointed out though, it's probably the mortgage company messing with your money. We have a FHA mortgage so we have to escrow, but in the four years we've had this mortgage I've never seen a change in payment more or less than $20 a month.

OK so according to the loan company (and then I verified with LA county) our taxes went up $1600. So the money is to raise a $1800 deficit they had to pay out, and to try and make us not have a deficit next time.

    [edit]$1800 not $800

They are going to stretch the deficit out 24 months saving about $75 a month. So that helps. But this sucks.

This brings me to my next question: How often is it ok to refi your mortgage? We are coming up on a year from our last refi (August), and that would help with the monthly payments, but I don't like the idea of constantly refing because of the ultimate amount I'm eventually paying. We won't be financially trashed with this $200 increase, but it will make things tighter than I'd like.

Ksan, something to consider about the tax hike. Did property value go up in your area? That would be a reason for the hike, which is a positive in the long run. Regarding refinancing, I don't see an issue with doing it whenever. It just depends on the terms. If constantly doing a 30 year refi you're digging a never ending hole. If this isn't your forever home and you think you're going to move in the next 5 years, maybe consider refinancing into an ARM. The positive is the payment and interest rate is lower. The con is if you do not move/sell you'll need to refinance again. Just my 2 cents.

Our property values are going up a lot, so yeah it ultimately makes sense. It's better for us overall, but still sucks short-term. We've been here only two years and our value has gone up app. 20k-25k.

I think I may hold of on refinancing unless I see a rate better than what we're getting (doesn't seem so atm).

Hopefully not our forever home. Our home is an awesome starter home, but we have no driveway and the street is a nightmare to find parking because of it. I dread when our kids become teenagers and want their own cars.

Ideally we were going to upgrade after 5 years, but I don't think we'll be able to afford to. We may end up being forced to stay due to the whole city's value going up and up, making us unable to get enough ahead for a bigger space.

We'll see. I can't believe we've been here two years already.

Everyone blames everything. XIs decline was inevitable. It is just an older game.

Everyone complains about their spouse, their job, their crappy take out, or their theories on economics. I just write it off as "good for you, you have opinions".

As for that, certianly WotG and Abyssea didn't kill the game. If anything they helped because all that kills XI is time and Square Enix's relentless neglect, especially as it became rampant near the WotG era onwards.

I don't like IPA beers and people don't like WotG or Abyssea or Voidwatch. It's just how it is with preferences.
I've done WotG three times before mounts, etc. Best was at the level caps though, loved WotG quests, missions, and content.

i dont actually stay on the pot. theres enough time with no movement at all that i can snatch a moment at the computer (more painful) or lay down and doze (less painful). its just that, the whole time, that fuckin turd is sitting there and my body keeps trying to pass it. but it cant, so cramps etc.

constipation is no joke the second most miserable experience ive ever had.

There are a few things you can do to lube yourself up like drinking small amounts of cooking oil, but that might honestly rip apart your insides if this turd is as magnificent as you imply.

Not with everything. I mean, I had a nice 2009 Marsau today.

As a player that wasn't interested in the bullshit from endgame players in 2008, and to this day still isn't interested in the bullshit from endgame players. WotG's Campaign as well as the immersive missions and quests were very fun. I spent so much time in Campaign just for fun that to this day nothing compares to that event at the time.
