I haven't gotten a jury summons in at least 10 years. And I even re-registered to vote last year and recently got my DL renewed *knocks on wood*

Easy way to not worry about jury duty. Never show up, never answer the mail they send.

Until you get a judge that decides fuck it, you didn't show, bench warrant and you get randomly pulled over for speeding, dead tail light, etc. Yeah, the odds of anything bad happening are next to nil, but not worth it to me to risk having a mug shot.

Idk about NY but in MA you get arrested if found to have jury duty delinquency so fuck that noise.

In a massive city like NYC, you can probably get away with it... but smaller jurisdictions will probably screw you.

They can fine you or take you in. I don't know the extent. They used to send jury notices to my parents for me. I didn't live there and my car and license reflected that. They just fucked up.

Just found out my mom's house that got fixed up and is now on the market has no insurance and no one to board it up for Irma, so she is gonna be in the hole 50k if it gets destroyed (deerfield beach, SF, so it most likely will).

My uncle and I told her we're amazed at the gamble she is taking.

Plus when I confronted her about it, she said: "Never got house insurance, never saw the need." /Facepalm

I cannot take someone seriously when all they do is bitch on social media about their "relationship issues" yet can't see THEY are part of said issue. After wasting my breath being blunt as fuck today with a friend I just unfollowed that drama.

You're damaged goods chic and it's not up to anyone to fucking fix you , fix your own shit then maybe you can move on. Until then I kind of feel bad for anyone you've already slept with because all you do is bash them on social media under your private account saying how "terrible " they are for not committing after 3 weeks and because you're too scared to communicate your needs it's all "their issue".

One time I got called in the case involved where my dad used to work. Basically got to scoot since I might've been bias.

My wife got sent home from her last jury duty appearance because I work for a contractor and the case was about some lady suing a contractor. I guess they thought she'd be bias.
