There is a nest in between our front porch and the wall of the house (I'm probably wording that terribly). Was told to fill a spray bottle with some drops of dish soap and hot water and pray. I'm going to die from bee stings probably.

Don't do anything during the day. At night the nest is mostly inactive. Since it's attached to the house, kill with fire isn't the best way. Easiest thing to do is go pick up some raid wasp/hornet killer. It's pressurized to shoot up to 15 feet. Wear long pants, a hoodie, gloves, etc. Don't get directly under the nest, but close enough that you can clearly hit it the entrance with some raid. Dump a can on it. Then go back inside and let the raid do it's thing.

The raid won't kill everything. So you will need to go back out the next day. Knock the nest down, hit with raid again, go back inside for the night.

Go out the next day, pour a starter trail of gasoline on the ground, pour some on the nest itself. Light, celebrate victory. Let that shit burn until it extinguishes on it's own.

Raid whatever is left.

I've always been "lucky" in that the yellowjackets I've dealt with have always been in the ground. So I typically find them when I'm wearing shorts and cutting the grass. The most recent time was last summer when I ran over a nest with Noah outside. I was screaming at him to run inside the house as I was getting mauled. He panicked and just stood there crying so I had to grab him, carry him into the house, and yell at him to run upstairs and wait. The whole time my legs were covered with yellowjackets. Amazingly enough he didn't get stuck. I on the other hand, should have probably gone to the hospital because I got hit about 40 times and was having shortness of breath. I just choked down about 5 benadryl and laid on the floor waiting for my wife to get home.

take a can of RAID just in case.

also the hand-smash guy actually isnt all that dumb. he was very fast and forceful with the nest; it's like putting out a candle with your fingers. as long as you're quick, you don't get burned. but if you hesitate or pull your punch even the tiniest bit, you're fucked. he stunned all the wasps in the first clap, the squishing was just to finish them off.

Well, the shit thing is I can't see the nest. I didn't even know about it until we were getting estimates for roof work. The guy said he couldn't see the nest, but it was clear there were active honey bees. I have a spot to spray though, but it's going to literally be spray and pray. Should make for an entertaining time!

To add on, during the heat of summer there were a ton of wasps around the porch area too. But yes, I want to call a professional. I'm not comfortable dealing with this at all. Luckily one of our clients does this type of thing for a living and we talked yesterday. I'll have him deal with it.

Professional is best but it's not too hard to relocate some honey bees with a bit of googlefu or going to a beekeeping place. Ex actually works at a place that of course sells everything you'd need but also teach about beekeeping. It's really not that hard honey bees are pretty docile as long as you don't piss them off. Still might get a sting or 2 because they sometime randomly fly into clothes and get mad if they can't get out

So the display on my fitness watch has been getting dimmer and dimmer slow but surely. Lately I'm basically just at the does this digit have something in it stage. But that's enough to let me know if it's been awhile since I've been active and to turn it on/off. And vibration alerts still worked. Well today can see even less and vibration wasn't working at all.... until a few seconds ago when typing this <.<. Should've gone off a good 5 times since I put it on today not counting the times it will to say I've walked enough

Wake up at 3 am with a migraine. Spend next several hours trying to get some rest and end up getting up late because alarm choose today to not go off and today was the day the fog decided to roll in so seemed earlier. Get stuck at one light for over 5 minutes. Miss another light because 2 cars are just sitting there waiting on a guy who isn't crossing the street to do so for a good 30 seconds combined while the car behind me is honking like crazy. And just had some Jehovah's witnesses come to my work and give me a speech and handout.

I haven't played SWTOR in over a year, maybe close to two. Someone hacked my account this morning and racked up $250 worth of subs and in game currency. SWTOR support locked my account and got my password changed and all that but they said it will be 5-15 business days before I can get a refund which is LAAAAAAAME. They also said I needed to contact EA support because this person probably has my Origin account as well but I can't find a US phone number for Origin support anywhere. I never bought anything on Origin but it's linked to my Xbox Live account.

Just not how I wanted to start my Saturday morning.
