"oh we forgot to do this on first shift, nbd second shift will do it for us"
FUCK. YOU.
this is the attitude where I work and I'm getting to the point of quitting over it. it's one thing if you legit can't get the job done but when you just don't do it and expect us to clean up after you? go fuck yourself.
Went through this myself and my wife went through that recently when on thirds at the hospital as a CNA (only a 1st and 3rd shift). My condolences as I have felt that pain as well. Only thing that fixed it was our shift and manager coming together and kicking so much ass that 1st and 3rd couldn't point the finger anymore. Once it got to that point head management started coming down on 1st.
honestly I appreciate your reply more than you know. the level of stress from doing two shift's jobs is just more than I want to deal with at this point (as you can maybe understand). I'm glad it got better for you; I'm hoping we can get some change soon.
man, if we could just get a manager in here who would kick some ass. that is exactly what we need lol.
like literally, just now, someone from the first shift told my co-worker "well you guys are in now so I'm done for the day" in regards to work from hours ago. she's still here for another hour, still getting paid. you have got to be fucking kidding me.
So I posted here a year ago about how my mom met a guy named "Steve", who scammed her out of 20ish thousand dollars. Well since then my family and I have helped her stop talking to Steve, get over him and move on.
We managed to get her run down house fixed up and sold and moved into an apartment. She decided to "try" another dating site, this time EHarmony, and she met a guy named "David". Friends and family checked out his profile and seemed alright, we emphasized to her to NOT give him money and back out if he asks.
Fast forward to today. She just finished closing and added 63k to her account for selling the house. She comes home from work, charges her phone, asks me to get it for her so she can talk to David.
I get the phone, see her texts by accident and saw she TOLD him about the closing and 63k and he asked for her account access so he can "borrow" 60 dollars and she GAVE HIM FUCKING ACCESS TO 63 THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!+
Now we have to go to the bank tomorrow and try and block him emptying her out before its too late............ Why God, did you pass over my mom when giving out Common Sense?
Ask your mom if I can hold $10000 for her for a little bit.
Geez that sucks.
My mom is the opposite and doesn't trust anything she didn't used to do in the past. ie. still wants to write checks for everything and won't use a debit card, doesn't order online, etc.
It's sometimes midly annoying but I'll take that over what you've got. I don't have to worry about her getting scammed.
Yeah, I came in earlier to my mom's phone taking a message from some woman stating there was a claim against her and she had to call in, give her address and shit, and I promptly went to my mom, "Don't you fucking call that." Because she would. She's already guilty of sending a few hundred to some random shit when she had dog fever and wanted a specific breed. Meanwhile, I google the pic she had and find whatever puppy they were pitching her would've been years old by now, never mind the oddly glam nature of the photo. There are times I seriously wish I had control of her bank account because she is not good with money at all.
Ok after digging around her emails/texts and finally getting her to explain it all, I found out God did give her some form of Common Sense and she made another account with 60 dollars at another bank and gave him access to that for a Christmas present and not her account with the money she got from the house.
Still was dumb, but at least he can't get her money like I and my family thought.
made plans to see a movie with a friend tonight. other people wanted to come but I don't know him that well so I politely declined because I didn't want to impose on him or make him uncomfortable.
day of, haven't heard from him, so now I'm out $12 and will be going alone.
shit like this is just... really? we're talking bottom-of-the-barrel human decency here. I'm not asking more than the bare minimum. it amazes me how shitty some people can be.
Get home last night after a weekend of fun. Managed to hit up 14 wineries/tasting rooms. Decide to just lay down a bit first. Get woken up to downstairs neighbors blasting some movie so loud it's shaking my bed. Bang the floor back at them and the refuse to quit. Now my hand feels really messed up the next day.
You can call cops for a noise violation.
I thought about it but was still not feeling too great and didn't want to have to talk to people or see light
Yay for developing crippling anxiety at this stage in my life.
Removed the cabinets and drywall in the kitchen. Started with just the cabinets, but the drywall was in shitty shape and had these "brick" tiles that we couldn't get off. Decided we'd take the drywall off. Now that we have the cabinets and drywall out we found that the fridge is/has been leaking for some time because some of the subfloor is rotten. The plan was to get this stuff done in time for Christmas, but that's not happening now.
Got caught by one of those "HA YOU'RE OLD NOW" memes.
Macaulay Culkin is now older (37) than Catherine O'Hara was (36) when she portrayed his mother in Home Alone.
Fuck.
