Just got off the phone. Two orders were placed. One for $50 and another for $250. The latter was stopped so that charge will come off. Will have to do a chargeback with the bank for the other. Going to file a police report though.

Yes, even though it won't lead to catching the people, get a police report filed, which will help with the chargeback with your bank. Unfortunately you're also going to need to get an all new debit/credit card issued from your bank over this, so if you're going to need cash for anything over the next two weeks, you'll want to run to the bank to withdraw.

Go through your email accounts to see if mail forwarding hasn't been set on one of them. Would basically allow someone to intercept things like password reset requests since they'd know to check for it the moment they submit, while you may never wind up seeing it. Something like that was how my comcast address got compromised back in the day and I had no idea it was actually happening until I found the setting in their web client.

I totally missed this earlier - fuck I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’ve lost both my parents now and didn’t really have any warning either time and it’s the hardest thing to go through. My heart goes out to you and your family.
