The only possibilities I can see right now is that somehow Oden got sent to the future (not likely) or someone with a mimic Devil Fruit is copying him. So far we only know of 2 people that can copy a person's body completely, one of them is Bon Clay but he has to touch that person with his hand to do it so he's out. The other person is Devon from Blackbeard's crew but I don't recall if she needs to do anything specific to mimic someone. That aside, why would Devon heal the Scabbards anyway if it is her. Could also be Kanjuro and that seems like the most likely possibility given that he is a really good actor on top of his ability possibly letting him paint himself as Oden.

Hard to say what's going on here. Time travel with Toki's power makes the most sense, but Oden not, you know, being shot in the head and cooked in a pot of boiling oil is kinda weird. Also of note, his swords aren't his 2 original swords (which are with Zoro and the one Momonosuke left behind).

Can't be a face-stealing doppleganger as that lady that had the power in the flashback is dead and we know Mr. 2 Bon Clay has that power right now.

And if it's some kinda Kaido trick, why would this person perform first aid on all the scabbards?

I genuinely have no clue, but just gonna trust in Oda as per usual. Kinda glad the Enel theory is bunk now lol, that one made no sense

I bet it's Kanjuro. Who else would know his mannerisms, cadence; or recognize/capitalize on this moment of opportunity so diabolically other than the defector of the scabbards - one who witnessed Oden's charisma, feats, and demise?

Long shot: the teapot that ate the tanuki zoan fruit is doing leaf bullshit. But that makes no sense, and would mean he'd have to have been with/around whomever helped the scabbards this whole time (Hiyori?), and also that he could talk (most "objects that ate a fruit" are mute beings).

One thing I'll say about One Piece is that fodder are fodder, no matter what faction. NOBODY treats their grunts properly. I think the only faction I've seen with any sort of care is actually Bege Capone and the Firetank Pirates.

Only way this makes sense is if Blackbeard caught wind of what's going on in Wano and is making his move to sow some more chaos and fuck over Big Mom and Kaido. We've only seen one panel of Oden so far so I have to wonder how Devon can mimic Oden's mannerisms to fool the Scabbards.

It is absolutely wild that it actually being Oden is nearly as plausible and possible as any other theories. I could almost see it actually being him and Oda making it work, holy shit.

Arlong was furious when he saw Zoro had beaten up the fodder members of his crew. Might be the only arc villain that cared about his entire crew. Even Magellan, who was an antagonist not a villain, didn't care about hitting his own men while he fought.

Yeah but that's less specifically caring for his crew and more his racism and a human beating up fishmen went against his theory on life.

No, his first reaction is to run to his men and scream. He only finds out who it was after that. He didn't have a reason to think it wasn't due to a human but his reaction was not focused on anger towards humans.

Part of why he cares so much about his crew is because of his racism but he does seem to care about them. The difference was brought up with Hody Jones, who was motivated by racism but couldn't have cared less about other fishmen.
