I am going to have surgery to correct my astigmatism because it is interfering with my work. I have been discussing this with Shonen Jump chief editor since last year and will be taking 4 weeks off. I will be able to beam out of my eyes.

Considering how dirty they did Bebop, my hopes for this were rock bottom, but this piques my interest. The only thing off-putting about it is Luffy's character. His actor is great, but I hope this isn't how they portray his personality through the ordered episodes. Like... "I sense some tension in the crew"? He'd never fucking say that. Or monologue. Stinks of Hollywood intervention. He's a heedless, brainless, fearless, careless, oblivious, airheaded idiot, not the gd straight man. He'd see them fighting and be like, "I sure am great at being captain, I'm glad they like each other so much. I wonder if Zoro can cook."

Oh well. Aesthetically, they're nailing it. Buggy looks awesome. The crew and the ship look great too. The sets are incredible. The gum-gum pistol was a little underwhelming. Suppose this isn't the final product, but stuff like animation and cg effects have gotta done awhile ago. We'll see I guess! I'm committed to actually checking it out vs. not even bothering. No nose or eyebrows is a crime, though.

Yeah the visuals are definitely there, but the characters are iffy (not the actors, just how the characters a portrayed I should say). I'll give it a shot for sure but I'm still keeping my expectations rock bottom

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of them changing Luffy, but I get it and I don't think they'll have the time for all the scenes to develop Luffy as we know him so some things are going to be changed. That said, I think from what the trailer shows they have the cast/crew interactions down. I don't think it's even possible to translate OP into live action, so I'm willing to give them some leeway since I think it's impossible to do and they at least seem to have the spirit.
