I'ma be real, I lost track of the manga sometime around when they found Sabo during the tournament for Ace's fruit, and at this point I feel like I've just missed too much to try and catch back up

Just catch up at your own pace. You got a nice long saga that wrapped up a couple of months ago that's a great read, especially with no weekly wait time. Even though we're in the final saga right now, this shit is gonna last at least another 4-5 years.

Yeah, and as far as post time skip arcs go, Dressrosa was the weakest one (for me anyway). Oda goes on plenty of breaks to make sure he stays healthy so lots of time to catch up if you want

...God Valley incident for now. Was hoping we'd finally see Rocks, some of the actual combat, what caused Linlin to give Kaido the uo uo no mi, etc. And maybe a canon Garling <--> Shanks connection. Guess that all may happen later, but at least 1097 arrives right away next week. Guessing we're back to Egghead. Maybe Kuma arrives and the iron giant wakes up.

It took me a bit of digging to figure out who all was in the Rocks crew. The 2 guys I didn't know right away were Shiki, the doode with 2 swords and cigar who also happens to be the villain in the movie Strong World

And the other doode who's drinking is Captain John, who was made into a zombie by Moria and last seen (iirc) back in the Thriller Bark arc like 700 chapters ago lol

That's in Dressrossa, right? That was a bit rough (espeically if you were reading week-to-week). It's not too much! Trust me i only started reading one piece in 2020 during COVID. I know its daunting to be like....~400 chapters behind but One Piece reads really fast.
