It actually took this chapter for me to remember what the flashback was actually about, since we had flashbacks in flashbacks in flashbacks. I couldn't even remember how it started. There's been so much crazy lore dropped that has nothing to do with what the flashback was actually about.

But I do wonder if the flashback is going to sway Hajrudin at all. The whole time I feel Oda's been a little too forward playing with the "untrustworthy narrator" trope. The story is full of convenient moments that make Loki out to be the misunderstood hero they've shamefully chained up for years. I can imagine as soon as we return to the present, Hajrudin like, "BULLSHIT. You obviously made up that whole story! What a waste of time. Mugiwara, let's get out of here." But we'll see!

I presumed Jarul didn't say anything because his memories of these things is hazy from the sword in his head, which continues to be one of the funniest gags we've had in awhile.
