Yeah, if you're wanting to support the developer as much as possible, definitely stay away from them. Chances are they're getting a very small cut from this. It's usually why I try to only buy games from them if it's something old and pretty cheap anyway.

As for this, they accept Pay Pal and use checkout.com for card transactions, but in the end I can only say I haven't had any issues personally. I don't know much about checkout.com

I dont really care about the dev's I think its slimy if it's taking away from consumers over there that now have less affordable options for them considering their financial situations.

I've bought numerous keys from them without issue as well. Kuro already outlined their deal but yeah, some places like slickdeals will promote their deals (likely cause they get something out of it) but Reddit has them blacklisted. Paypal is the preferred method of course.

Stupid crazy deal on Xbox/PC game pass that I have signed up for and confirmed works. $1.00 for the first 3 months. Then, $.05 per day, so basically $1.50 per month.

Go here to sign up for Xbox Game Pass if you haven't already. Since I was new I had the option to choose $1 for the first three months of service.

After signing up, or if you already have an account, go to this page to update your billing option/cycle. You should see the option to change to $.05 for daily billing.

This is good for the PC game pass too and was easy to get started. I had to download an Xbox app which took a minute. Once opened I went to a game in the list and started downloading. Easy peasy. This is a crazy value for access to a lot of great titles, even more so for Xbox users.

Heads up for anyone who did this. Microsoft has taken away the daily billing option and now only monthly is left. I never received an email about the change. Just turn off recurring billing to avoid the charges or cancel outright.

I got it free at release and played it a little. It for sure was WAY better than the first. At $3 you could do A LOT worse. If anything, just another reason to NOT buy games at release, especially during this games as a service bullshit era.

ymmv, it's a hardcoreish medieval sim that appeals to a specific kinda nerd while alienating swaths of fellas that don't have hours to spend on punishing systems. combat is a lil clunky and it can be a lil buggy but story and aesthetics are on point, world immersion and reactivity as good as the genre gets.

Obviously good is an adjective and what I think is gold you could think is garbage. For instance, I was told and had read by numerous sources Dragon Age Origins was one of the greatest RPGs ever made with some even giving it the title best ever. After the rat murder scene with blood splattered all over faces I laughed and didn't bother. Point is, give it a shot since it's free. If you like it, cool. If not, I'm sure you won't waste too much time.

I'll straight up say DA:O was garbage in the few hours I tried playing that electronic turd. Witcher 3's combat to me is extremely rough and to a respect I do think it's bad, but that game is for sure a gem. I just haven't gotten around to really giving it a fair shake and I no longer have it due to a HD format (was put on my PC from someone with it on GoG). I'll buy it eventually and play it from start to finish.

Kingdom Come I haven't tried yet. I've watched a number of reviews on it and as AG says it gets big praise for story and immersion. I think it's a good looking game that deserves an hour or so to see if it's my cup of coffee.

In fairness for my takes on RPGs anymore allow me to explain. When I did my first PC in 2013 I bought Skyrim of course. Modded the shit out of it including some mod created DLC. I have 124 hours into Skyrim and I'm pretty sure I never finished the main story. What happened? I met Dark Souls. I haven't played Skyrim since. To me, Dark Souls combat is top tier.
