Out of many open world games, Black Flag is one of the few I definitely enjoyed due to not getting bored with the gameplay. Sea battles are pretty epic too.

Black Flag is by far the best of the more traditional style of AC.
Origin, Odyssey, and I'm assuming Valhalla are more like Witcher 3-lite with parkour. Odyssey is the one in the series I've enjoyed the most, but the series changed dramatically starting with Origin (I'd say for the better) and its not really the same thing anymore
Is Origin worth playing after I've already played Odyssey? I noticed its like 11 bucks on steam
Never played but I've heard Odyssey was a massive improvement on it and that Origins is very bare bones in its RPG system.
I got tired of the series after Black Flag and stopped playing, but after hearing enough good things about Odyssey (plus that sweet sweet ancient Greece setting) I jumped back in
Mmk, I'll just stick to finishing up Odyssey
I went back to play Origins after Odyssey. Like Krandor says, the big differences are how refined the RPG mechanics were.
Here are the two biggest things:
- No Skill Customization. There is a talent tree but most of them are passive buffs or unlock abilities flat out, versus Odyssey where you are assigning active skills to button presses and there are eight slots that compete for active use.
- Linear Equipment Progression. You have one set of armor and you upgrade this from start to finish using the same resources (Metal, Hide, and something else) for progressive upgrades. The weapons and shield are like Odyssey where different ones will have different unique stats. There are no engraving customizations
The story is worth it for a speed run, especially if you want to go back and get context for Layla as the new meta-story hero. The PC version comes complete with an "Animus Hacking" option where you can change things (like your running speed) to make the game less tedious.
Origins is still worth a play through I think, and I really liked the Egypt aesthetic. Odyssey is superior in pretty much every way, however.
Hades is cross-play too, I might grab it for the HD visuals even though I'm almost done with it on switch

Jurassic World Evolution Deluxe Edition is on PSN for $15. I personally have not played it but I’ve heard it’s decent. And it has dinosaurs.
If you like theme park/rollercoaster tycoon kind of stuff, this is just that with dinosaurs so easy win.
It needs to go on sale on Steam
FFVII Remake is $25 at Target if you are somehow a member of BG who hasn’t bought this yet.
Buy 2 Get 1 Free vidya games at Target starting 11/8, some exclusions apply (not yet announced)
AG you never miss an opportunity to hate on FF7R and I respect that even if I disagree
