All I wish it had was a 60 FPS battle version... I've seen mods out there, but not sure if I can install with Moguri.

They work with moguri but upping the frame rate in combat also makes it all move faster. You can probably do 40 fps to make it look smoother but not massively jank up everything

I should play IX again, I missed a few of the achievements my first time through. Was much more fun than I had expected.

Other than it making the game's slow combat system even slower due to whatever they did that causes every attack effect to run at 50% framerate, which throws off all the audio timings for those as well. I don't know how the frick that was deemed acceptable to ship. They put in actual dev time in that port to redo the translation, add in new FMVs (if the remake went for the FMV's aesthetic that'd be fantastic), add in an ad-hoc MULTIPLAYER MODE with exclusive co-op scenarios, but not address the thing they introduced that fucks with the game's already slow pacing.

Extremely difficult game to go back to once you've experienced any Disgaea title.

Jeanne though? Great game, despite its generic-ass anime style. Transforming your main protag and going to town on enemies never stops being satisfying. Shame I owned it physically on PSP, wouldn't have minded replaying it on my PS4. Assuming Sony still granted you free copies for prior digitally-owned PS1/PSP games they re-release.

Cool, nice that they're still doing that. I need to confirm sometime if that's only applied retroactively (which is my only experience with it personally), or if I could buy something off of my PS3 for PS1/PSP now, and then still get a free copy on PS4/PS5, since there are some cases where that would actually cheaper to do.
