Horizon Zero Dawn I think is a perfect length and has that dose of existential dread as the mystery unfolds and growing nihilism that AG adores so I recommend that.

I did play Forbidden West but it is a much longer adventure and I eventually grew bored of it and never finished. And now that I'm probably 70% of the way thru the adventure I'm too afraid to go back to it since I will have forgotten how to play it and get wrecked by everything.

Subnautica 2 early access dropped and I have been spending some time in it. The first one was a great survival / atmospheric horror game with a soundtrack that slapped and this one is reusing the formula that worked while still feeling fresh. I’ll probably come back to Diablo 4 afterwards, the t12 grind was already wearing me out and this is relaxing.

First one is a truly great game, crafting is tied to progression and the exploration itself drives the story more than quest markers or narrative. Great first-time-experience game since you have to figure so many things out that aren’t explained, in a good way.

oh my GOD my BG3 Honour Mode run came the closest it has to ending after i tripped the traps in the fireworks store basement in Act 3

3 party members down and Astarion only survived with dex saves. 75 hours in, literally felt nauseous, never doing this for a game again (unless it's cool)

I was randomly browsing PSN Games, a game called Thaumaturge caught my eye (I do have a soft spot for isometric camera perspective) and welp, it looks like it'll be the next game I'll be playing. So far I love the historical setting, getting rewarded for actual exploration, story, artistic design and all.

If you beat the original, the excuse for S would be playing the 2d version it includes, which iirc you should change between the 2d/3d presentation on a per-chapter basis.

I'm currently replaying it for the first time. Barely did the 2d switch but been enjoying the 2d worlds from previous games

Barely into it but already remembering how good this game is. Have Erik and about to head into the Kingsbarrow. Feel like I should go ahead and get DQI&II HD and just do a full Erdrick Saga playthrough. I wonder if I could stream it to try and raise money for my dog.
