Went 4/4 on the new shattered pixel dungeon patch. One win with each class, feels way easier then a few patches ago when I last played.

Got a game called The Last Spell on steam it's early access but I've already put 25 hours into the sucker. It's another addicting as hell RPG roguelike. It's like a base building, tower defense, turn based sorta xcomy type of game. TONS of weapon variety each of which has different skills. Lots of upgrades to unlock etc etc. would highly recommend it

Spent the past week and a half playing Xenogears for the first time. Such a fun ride. Took a little bit to get going, but when it got beat it was amazing. The hate that the second disc gets is way overblown. I do wish that it was better, but it was still fantastic.

Would love a remake just for a proper second disc.

Going to be doing an FF9 replay next, then hopping into Xenosaga trilogy.

Wipeout: Omega Collection. Fast paced, incredibly good looking (especially 2048) racer with a very good soundtrack.

Studio Liverpool had still a lot to offer. Sony shouldn’t have let them shut down.

I beat Star Ocean 3. Going to do the bonus Dungeon stuff for as long as I can stay engaged.

Honestly I didn't think the twist was as bad as people had told me it would be, but the ending itself was kind of dumb.

Should I play previous Yakuza games first to enjoy it more?

I'm trying to figure out where I go next. I have Persona 5: TYH edition but I think I'm going to hold off until Royal is on Steam. I've got a slew of other PS2 games I could work my way through, or go back to some PS1 era stuff, or actually use my PS5.

Maybe I'll spend some more time with Demon's Souls. If I beat the PS5 version I'm going to count that as beating the PS3 version too and take two games off my list.

I heard it's a good starting point for people new to the series.

Finally getting around to the Mass Effect Legendary Edition (playing on PS5)

I remember going through ME1 last...probably 10 years ago and even then it was kinda rough and that fuckin Mako. The updates made it slightly more enjoyable but man, still that Mako can go get fucked. I blasted through ME1 in about 25ish hours, doing all important side quests for returning characters in the sequel. I almost skipped it entirely, but there is so much you miss out on by not playing it.

I started ME2 on Saturday... and I could not pull myself away from it. I still can't. I probably have only done about 30% of the content in it. The leap is insane. Aside from some older architecture and a bit of jank, with the HD upgrades and all this almost looks like a modern game. I cannot pull myself away from it. So much more good content. I'm one of the people who doesn't mind they stripped some of the RPG/exploring mechanics from the first one. ME2/3 (aside from the dumb endings & scanning for minerals lol) are near perfect games for me. ME2 is probably in my top 10 games of all time list.

The Mrs recently beat the ME trilogy, and fresh new eyes on it also agree that me1 was rough but enjoyable, but ME2 is a damn masterpiece. ME3 has a bunch of payoffs though, even tho the ending is meh.

You can actually leap into Like a Dragon without playing any of them (at least so far, I think). Though it's kinda like Trails to me in that respect: There's a bunch of little jokes and references that you appreciate a hell of a lot more if you've played the others.

Yeah that's what I heard too. Like a Dragon starts off with a new main cast however characters from the previous games can play a role in the story/side missions/etc.

Speaking of which I need to finish up Yakuza 0 at some point. I'm at the point Kiryu is working with the retail agency but I need to wrap up Neo TWEWY.

Man idk about you, but I started enjoying Neo the moment I stopped chasing the pin collection. Maybe I grinded too hard, but I'm level 56 on week 3 day 1. Can't recommend anyone else play like that tho, the grind be too much and not worth it imo

I'm on I think the 5th/6th day and yeah if you grind a lot like I am you can get burned out fast. Though I still try to get a few fights in an area to eat food.

Yeah honestly they have you running so many loops around the city by the end of the game that you dont need to do that because you're triggering so many obligatory fights that you're gonna be drowning in exp, especially if everyone is wearing exp+ and pp+ accessories. I stopped grinding at 40, and just a few days later I'm here mid 50s lol. Also make sure you do every side quest every day, they really gate you ability wise if you don't. I almost feel like they should be mandatory unlocks with how pivotal some of the unlocks are.

Maybe it's just my pins then. I'm not doing too bad except for those black wolves that leave trails of fire and if you leave them alone long enough to howl they'll do a spicy attack on you.

And with that finished the game this morning. I was a bit worried how this game would all play out going from a touch screen interface to buttons but they pulled it off and made a great successor to the first TWEWY. My only real complaint (late game spoilers)

    Spoiler: show
Neku and Joshua's voices are REALLY off

Revisited RE:2R and tried a semi speed run. Beat it in less than 2 hours & 2x saves. The dogs in the basketball court fucked up my no dmg run 3x. For me, that was prolly my last game, haven't even touched Village.
