If you haven't purchased it I have a XSX version I'd sell you lol. Great game, idk if I'd write home about replayability tho unless that's your thing.

Finished Yakuza 0 last night and I loved this game more than I thought I would. It is a bit slow at the start with tutorials/etc. but once those are done and the story starts up the game is an absolute blast.

I'm going to grab the rest of the games during the holidays when they'll more than likely be on sale. I really want to know what all happens in 1995 since the ending in 0 hints shit gets real again.

Also Majima's cabaret club is too damn fun and addicting.

55 hours and still DQ11. “Monsters are super strong” draconian quest is active, which adds a fair bit of challenge.

Yakuza can be your new trails.

I started back with 0 and just finished 7 a few weeks ago. Some gaps as I waited for Kiwami 2 and the collection with 3, 4, and 5 to come out.

    Worth it.

There are some similarly addictive mini games in the others, so you'll be at home. Cabaret club was definitely great.

Yeah. When I first played Disco/Karaoke were probably my biggest time killers. I still need to try the car racing minigame at some point.

Anybody here gave Astria Ascending a try? I am really tempted by the game, soundtrack composed by my favorite, Hitoshi Sakimoto and reviews say that the game has a great battle system which is super important for me.

On the other hand story is frequently being bashed by players along with overall character depth.

I've been meaning to, but haven't had the chance. It's on my list of things to get along with Actraiser Renaissance once things calm down.

I’ll go ahead and wishlist it on Switch, eventually it’ll drop down to $19.99 range. That’d be a fair price I guess.

Still playing through Persona 5 Royal while I have downtime at work. I use PS Remote Play to play it from my PS5 at home.

Ive been grinding recently to level up, make personas, etc. I'm level 76-79 (with Haru lowest cause she just joined) at the beginning of November. I like the QOL they did for grinding, having Ryujis confidant ability let you just run down weaker enemies without engaging in an actual battle. It's also a nice way to farm Fusion Alarms to level up personas and build their stats.

I still enjoy the battle system overall, especially with the ability to change Gun mods to have status effects. My biggest issue with the game is still the binding mechanics where I spend several minutes reading dialogue about how they'll be a better model/player/artist/detective/etc. over and over. I think the system of gaining new abilities separate from the typical level ups is great, but these dates are boring and don't draw me in at all. In fact I've been grinding so long because I just didn't want to go back to doing that.

Decided to try to fight the Reaper. Seems even with my levels, you either need to cheese it or have specific skills to negate his damage. Even with Ryujis best melee weapon in the game I was only doing 50-100 damage with a normal attack, 150-200 with a "colossal damage" persona skill at 77/78. Looked afterwards and saw people said "either get him to just repeat x cycle, or have these two skills on party members, plus this character, these three personas, and these 6 skills on your own personas.

At this point I've invested a bloated 100 hours into it so I have to finish, but I'm still just eh" on the game. 6.5/10 and hoping the last half.of the story catches me more.

It's easy to play with remote play, despite the input latency. Couldn't play an action game with the latency.

I do really like the battle system. Base your party make up around weaknesses and technicals. Do some good damage. The ability to debuffs bosses similarly to trash. I think there's good things in there and the main story is good, the side quest/bond stuff is not for me.

Yeah; the bonding thing isn't for everyone.

I wonder what their next step will be there. I don't mind the social link thing as much, but I'll be curious to see what they do next that still shows character development without relying on that.

I sorta like what Xillia 2 (and the much maligned Legendia) did there, so there's proof there's another way.

Reaper isn't too bad at that level. Main thing is you want him to amsbusg you, so he only attacks once per round. A non ambush or surprise attack on him causes him to go twice per round and while doable, you basically go down to one damage dealer while everyone else has to heal.

Also the flu cheese strat was removed in Royal.

That would help. He was able to get off Concentrate and Megi in one of my turns which meant I was healing for 200 ho each turn.

Debilitate helped after I switched party members around.

Yeah, think when I beat him, it was just debilitate and from there, whittled him down. Third hardest non dlc fight in the game, but once you know what you're doing it's just more managing your sp so you don't run out.

Also not sure how far into the story you are, but it's around chapter six when shit gets real in the game. Just make sure you maxed out the counselor rank before his assignment ends. If you're rank 9, his last day he will invite you and you get rank 10

I've got a number of confidants maxed and Councillor at 9 because I know that's important to the story. I've been loosely using a no spoiler guide for confidants.

I think at this point I'm going to finish up my grind and get back to the game itself. I have Seth to get Strength to 10 so I can make some.of the higher level personas without spending an arm and a leg. Just need to duplicate High Counter so I don't use my only card of it. Can start going crazy with fusions from there.

Was knocking out Persona compendium and fused a very not subtle penis persona. Come on now...
