    Spoiler: show
Damn right it was Dohalim. I tried putting them on Law and Shionne for a bit. They fit. But I took them off after a certain point.
I had Shionne in the white or black dress most of the game with her first ponytail hairdo.
Rinwell had glasses and a halo.
..Law has a straw hat and black outfit.
Kisara has glasses. I don't know why, but they just seem right.

I'm right at the end. I feel like whatever follow up they do will be solid. Or at least I hope.

Agreed on charging enemies. FUCK that noise.

Also, regarding the dialogue. . yeah there's a particular stretch where it feels even *worse*. But overall I liked the interactions.

I still chuckle when one character just goes "blah blah blah blah MAGIC!"

Just got into some VR games. Exercising by accident has been painful for my potato of a body.

Beat Saber - pretty fun, rythm game where you swing lightsabers at squares. I just got to the maximum handmovement challenges in the campaign which is a real cockblock.

Crisis Vrigade 2 - this is probably my favorite game at the moment. Reminds me of the Time Crisis arcade machines where you press a foot pedal to take cover. Except in this game you have to squat or kneel behind cover depending on how tall it is. Really cool manual reload mechanics, but they remove them if you use options that occupy both hands like dual wield or a riot shield.

Pistol Whip - shooter on rails that allows you to dodge bullets. Very fast paced, makes you feel like John Wick.

Walkabout Minigolf - sad that there's no local multiplayer option, other than that I thought the putting mechanics were pretty true to life.

I expect you to die - seems like a series of spy themed escape rooms.

Thrill of the Fight - boxing game. had me sweating buckets after two rounds. My only problem is hit registration. I was throwing fulls wings to an unguarded face and they wouldn't connect because my arm was too long and going behind the opponents head. Looking for a recommendation for a new boxing game. I prefer more realistic graphics where I can see the damage I'm doing to my opponents face.

Blade and Sorcery - I was excited about this one the most but I found the controls really unintuitive and without any real tutorial was fairly difficult to figure out. I can't tell you how long I wandered around the starting room trying to open the door before I found the map on the wall to teleport you to locations.

I was a big fan of Shenmue back in the days. What do you guys think of S3? Reviews are rather mixed and the game apparently takes up to 25 hours so its a big commitment.

I backed Shenmue 3 and never got past the second area. It's really, really rough around the edges and nothing grabbed me enough to put up with the nonsense that was being presented. Didn't really save any examples but I did tweet about it once lol

Finally got platinum on Returnal. I'll probably start Metroid Dread now.

Final Fantasy XIII, Made it to Chapter 11 - Gran Pulse (Fifth Ark took my all evening).

Couple of questions for those who remember the game.

    1. I suppose I’ll be spending a lot of time on side content / getting stronger here. Once I leave Chapter 11 is there a way back? Or do I have to do it all while I am here?

    2. I’ve heard that this is where you should start upgrading your weapons. But I don’t have the base ones of what they call the “ultimate weapons” yet. Do I get them in this chapter?

    3. Anything else I should know?

You don't unlock the full crystarium til later chapters iirc. Play as much or as little of gran pulse as you want and go back later in the post game.

Thanks! I’ll do some marks, max out Lv 3 crystarium and head out for Ch 12 then.

I have an urge to re-play Silent Hilll 2 and 3 with wife 15-20 years after I first played them. I've got nothing but awesome memories about those two.

I'll check the attic to see if my original, limited edition ps2 copy is still out there. Then I'll have to see if DV cable solves the black screen issue on my old ps3 (new slim ones are not backwards compatible afaik)

If all fails I guess I'll cave in and buy the imperfect remaster, HD Collection. I heard the Xbox version is quite bad but ps3 one was patched and now quite playable.

Just finished Soul Blazer and Mystic Quest, working on Brain Lord, Tetris Attack and Secret of the Stars (yes the Tecmo RPG)

Anyone else here on Retro Achievements? It's been a great way to breath new life into old games. Check it out if you're into retro games around SNES/PSX era or so

Finished Triangle Strategy today. Not too bad of a game but the story isn't anything really special and while I haven't tried NG+ but given how the game flows I have a feeling the only choice that actually affects the outcome of the game's ending is the final one.

Other than that I started Yakuza Kiwami 2. Still getting used to how much different it feels from 0/Kiwami but holy crap at the ragdoll physics in this one.

This is a disappointment, with reviews specifically praising the story I was expecting something remarkable.

Low overall difficulty was my primary complaint about Fire Emblem, how challenging is this one?

It wasn't too bad but you'll have to grind in some instances. At one point you'll have a tavern in your encampment where you can do mock battles to earn EXP/gold/etc. or just keep repeating the fight you lose since EXP and levels carry over if you die.

As for the story it isn't too bad however without going too deep into spoilers near the end of the game (Chapter 17 I believe) you'll have to make a major choice which will impact the path you'll take/ending which seems to be the only choice that does matter. However that's only for your first playthrough. There is an extra ending in NG+ that's possible too from my understanding.

Picked up Persona Strikers. Super fun. Feels like an extension of Persona 5 and if it turned more action.

Still a lot of rpg though.

That one's on the backburner for me, but I need to get back to it.

Right now I'm playing FF Origin and Triangle Strategy.

I keep telling myself I'll buy Elden Ring when I finish Dark Souls 3. . but Elden will drop in price eventually. However, I always get bored with about Half of Soulsborne games halfway through. Demon's and DeSII were the exceptions.

I have been considering Elden Ring but I am absolute garbage at -Souls games. I never got to the first boss in Bloodborne before shelving the game.

I briefly played Dark Souls and shelved it after 15-20 mins, that was all my exposure on Souls games. I also usually dislike, and have little patience on challenging boss fights in games as well.

Despite being a very challenging game with hell a lot of boss fights I found myself spending hours, days on Elden Ring. Open world gives you an option to develop your character if you find a boss fight particularly challenging. You can also simply take a break from said boss/part and focus on something entirely different.

I guess this is how Elden welcomes new players to the Souls games without compromising from the overall challenge level. I don't think you'll have any problems enjoying it.

Well, an hour later of playing this, I think it'll be my prime "mindless thing to play while listening to a podcast" game.

At Chapter 8 in Yakuza Kiwami 2. As much as I'm loving the story the plot device at the start of this chapter is beyond stupid.

    Spoiler: show
"Oh yeah Date totally shot that guy. Let's just forget the lack of a muzzle flash/recoil the moment the fake Kazuki got hit in the chest."
    -Chief of First Division, basically.
