God of war (2018): storywriting masterpiece. I didn't expect to feel so many feelings but I'm glad I did. God of war ragnarok sadly isn't on steam yet.

Celeste: fun platformer, uses the mountain climb as a metephor for depression and self discovery. Got it on sale for 5 bucks

Chained Echos: 40 hour jrp that felt like a Mashup of chrono cross, ff12, and many other big name titles. Great music. Loved it

Inscription: I'm on act 3 now. No idea how long it is and I can't really talk about how good this is without spoiling it

Started Banner of the Maid, which looked like a fun little Tactics game set during an alternate history French revolution, but after getting some time into I think this was an H-Game that just got repurposed.

Also beat The Alliance Alive and it was for sure fun to play and challenging, but after the credits rolled I had 0 desire to play through either version of their NG+.

we valheim, it's my first time. all the time I was playing minecraft with friends, this is the game I really wanted. solo, I prefer minecraft. but as a group game? this is leagues better

Star Trek: Resurgence has no business being as good a game as it was. I use the term "game" lightly though, it's mostly qte and button prompts, but the entire thing is very very Trek and I am absolutely down for more Trek games along this vein. The plot could have been a season or two of made for TV Star Trek; very fun, goes places, and there's lots of pay off for sticking with it.

The old 25th anniversary adventure game is a fun time. Voice acted by the original cast and you even get a free red shirt on every mission as a sacrificial lamb when you fuck up a puzzle.

Picked up Titanfall 2 since it was on sale, then proceeded to burn through it a couple days later. That campaign definitely lands in my top-10 for an FPS. Not a dull moment, and it doesn't overstay its welcome. For a seven year game, still looks really fucking great, character faces aside (which Apex Legends didn't address either).

The multiplayer servers being back up (after being down so long) will be icing on the cake if I end up enjoying that and not getting completely demolished by veterans.

I'm playing saint's row II at the moment; never played before and didn't want a huge time committment since i got some games coming out soon; don't want to be dead smack in the center of a jrpg when Like a dragon: gaiden hits in about a month and a half. Also playing non comittal games like fall guys and plate up

Update to my PS5 saga.

Got it back. Disc drive works now.

Went to reinstall my M2 SSD. Says to install a compatible one as the one I installed is not.

Here's the rub: it's the same one I had installed for about 3 months without issue prior to the disc drive crapping out.

No clue what's going on with it at this point. Anyone dealt with something like this?

Just couldn't fully get into BG3 and Starfield. Started playing a bit of Atomic Heart though, which has been fun. Basically Bioshock in Soviet Russia.

nah dog 88% on Steam and 82 on Metacritic

story is interesting and combat is quite good / responsive + some of the weapon crafting / build decisions they made feel even better than most Souls games. boss design is significantly weaker than From Software's and aesthetics / level design don't hit the same, but think it's the closest thing we've gotten. if you're already on Game Pass strong recommend.
