Yep, Capcom also did an awesome job at upscaling them to widescreen. Feels no different than a native one.

Now that I finished REmake I’ll continue with Doom 3 next, also aged quite well and Switch port is very solid.

Playing Symphony of War, finally beat the Scenario mode on They Are Billions. Might go back for achievement hunting at some point but I think I've scratched the colony building/RTS bug for now.

Symphony of War is pretty good, like someone took Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre and made them one game.

Been playing Human Resource Machine in-between bouts of FFXI relapse. It's a pretty fun, on top of feeling like decent learning material.

Work buddy of mine recommended Dave the Diver on Steam. I had never heard of this game, it came out last year.

Looked it up and it was like $14.99 on GreenManGaming with fantastic reviews. So I bought it. What an incredibly charming and addictive game that is a blast to play. I searched the forums and haven't seen it mentioned. Highly recommended.

    ..I empathize with your pain.

On this end, about to wrap up Eiyuuden rising, which was a surprisingly fun romp.

Also finished God of War: Ragnarok -- the base game anyway. I did not think it'd be possible to top the last game, but GODDAMN. If you played the first and have Ragnarok in your backlog, move that to the freaking top. A couple of things..

    Spoiler: show
The voice actors nailed it. The last scene between Odin and Thor had me cracking up -- not the uh, stabbing, but Odin just coming out of nowhere and being like "What? Are you talking? What is this?" was just spot on.
    Also, Brok WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Debating on what to work on next. Either Like a Dragon: Isshin, or maybe FINALLY getting back to XC3.

Ragnarok is based, Odin is indeed a bastard man, but bruh if you haven't i would strongly suggest hitting the Valhalla DLC before moving on. it's free + only about 5 hours but is a fantastic conclusion to the Norse saga, and brings back the Greek stories heavily and directly. can't say too much without spoiling but it's one of those true love letters to the fans who've been with Kratos since the PS2, and storytelling-wise is a moving culmination to his redemption arc.

Oh yeah, I started and got about 30 minutes into Valhalla. Put it down for the time being to play something else I had digitally; GoW disc is still in my PS5 to motivate me to go back later, ha ha.

Decided to give the new Atlus game a try. Unicorn Overlord, god damn this shit is addicting and has way more content then I thought it would. Pretty decent demo too, like a 5 hour timed demo. If you like auto-battler type games, you'd really dig it

Unicorn Overlord is on my list of games to try when it's released.

I've been playing Legend of Mana on Steam. After hearing some bad things about it, I definitely understand how this would've been impossibly frustrating when it first came out. With the advantage of a full completion guide and instructions on how to use monsters/smithing/planting/golems/etc I'm having a decent time with it. About a third of the way through all the quests, using a method that will let me put down every artifact in one playthrough.

the Unicorn Overlord demo is lit so far and really scratches the Ogre Battle 64 itch but the character design is fuckin horrific on the lead female character Japan really needs to grow out of its 12 year old with an erection phase

minor annoyance and gameplay is already dope af, hope the story / writing can live up to its predecessors. p by the numbers so far but fingers crossed the final product will be a classic

Snatched up Doom and doom eternal on a steam sale last week and holy shit Doom 2016 is so damn fun. I don't even really like shooters. The presentation, the way the music blends in seamlessly, the voice acting. It's all so good

ye outside of a the aforementioned bimbo the art design is really great and arresting + props to Atlas for giving out such a meaty 5-7 demo with everything carried over. we stan a consumer friendly publisher.

alas after putting a couple more hours in the writing remains verr basic and the story derivative, don't think it has a chance to live up to quality of the better stuff in the genre like Ogre Battle 64 or Tactics Ogre. gameplay just gets better and better tho and simple shit like designing your army's banner is great. enough for a purchase for me and prolly wouldna without the demo so well played Vanillaware.

Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster is superb, they've completely revamped cutscenes, hi-res graphics and most importantly modern controls.

    Highly Recommended.
