Needed a palette cleanser after FF16.

I tried to play SaGa emerald beyond. I like SaGa games. I like this one. But I regret buying it on the Switch. Normally not picky about it, but performance is so choppy I’m half inclined to wait on a steam sale and get it there (it’s $35 now). Went back to Astlibra revision.

I got lulled into a false sense of security because Scarlet Graces played just fine on Switch.

Alright, why did no one tell me TimeSplitters 1-3 was released on PSN last month for a tenner each.

[EDIT] I need to hook my PS2 back up and double-check shit. Got TS2, but there's a notable amount of input delay, and I don't recall it being remotely this bad on the originals, but haven't touched them in over a decade. I would hope after three sets of PS2 emulators (PS3's software emulator, PS4's original PS2 emulator, and the present one for PS4+PS5) that it's just my memory being shit.

Giving Yakuza: Like a Dragon another shot. Was $10 on Steam. I last played it like idk, 4 years ago or something and I didn't get very far.

The amount of exposition in Chapters 1-4 is borderline too much. I mean, I'm aware they're trying to build up Ichiban before letting you loose in the city, but my god. Maybe 45 minutes of play in 5 hours felt like I was in 2003 and playing Xenosaga again. I'm in Chapter 4 now and finally able to explore a bit. I'm so used to storytelling via exploring now like in GoW or Last of Us, going back to 30+ minute cutscenes is painful. Enjoying the actual game though. I'll stick with it since there's a couple weeks before Metaphor comes out.

Started Neva, the spiritual successor of Gris. It deserves every bit of hype and praise its receiving now. Stunning art, music and story.

I am also very fond of animals and this makes me love it even more.

Very highly recommended.

never played hollow knight before and knew next to nothing about it other than it being a metroidvania

it is probably not surprising that it was quite fun. got 102% completion first playthrough, just under 40 hours. still need to do the last coliseum fight and I only did the first couple pantheon boss rushes. I think I found everything on the map itself

Sifu was on game pass, right before I cancel it lol. Finally beat it, and my God what a great game. Plenty more to do, plus challenges to get the true ending, but if you haven't tried it yet it deserves the praise it received upon release. It isn't particularly long either, took about 15hrs to see credits and that includes permanently unlocking all talents and combos. To get good enough for a true ending and all the extras it'll probably take another 10hrs or so. Don't know if I'll do that between Sparking Zero! and my baby, but I'd definitely recommend this game.

I quite enjoyed Blasphemous despite some qualms I had with it, that the devs apparently fixed in a later update. Primarily map-related QoL that I wish was in there from the beginning so I could better track things myself and not hitting up Google to save myself time. Think they added some NG+ thing since I last touched it as well.

It surprises me. Honey I Shrunk the Kids was 1989.
We've had plenty of tie in games, many questionable over the years (fucki'n Timecop), but not a single game was made that could be called a tie in to HiStK until Grounded in 2020.

Wrapping up Ender Lilies. Really enjoyed it.

Bouncing between demos of Reynatis and Metaphor while I try to figure what I want to focus on next. Can't work up the mental energy to really dive into Daybreak like I want.

Might just hop over to Elden Ring next.

God Hand has aged far better than I thought it would, after having not touched it since 2010 (when my old PS3 BC YLOD'd and ate my internally-stored PS2 saves with it).

The combat is still extremely tight. The exceptionally dumb humor, and the soundtrack, are just icing on the cake. Think I appreciate the game even more now than I did back then.

i lied. just got done getting platinum in dark souls. ornstein and smough is even less fun on ng+ when smough has to die first

now playing ds3, not to get platinum right now (don’t feel like collecting all rings), just want to fight the bosses again

So, decided to get the beta for The Bazaar. Sorta roguelike card game pvpve autobattler? Kind of like backpack battles I guess.

I claimed the code, Excited to check it out, I'd been thinking about picking it up. If I dig the game I'll probably grab the founders pack and post the code here to pay it back. I like how it's an auto battler that uses ghosts so you don't have to do it all in one session like battlegrounds or TFT or whatever.

FINALLY got the last achievement in Blasphemous. Wasn't a matter of difficulty so much as it was making myself start the game over again. Now I gotta figure out what's next.

Shapez 2 is scratching that factory builder itch wonderfully. It's a bit different in that space is almost never an issue and you are ment to tear down large parts of the factory when they are done. But that keeps things feeling clean and manageable.
