Is it better than other entries? Requiem is starting to look like a nice transition back to the early series.

Village is weird, it's like a mashup of all REs where each boss you visit has their own zone and they range from RE4 combat to RE7 horror to RE5/6 wtf

Overall it was a fun ride but RE7 and the RE2 remakes were way better in the horror department. I haven't played Village DLC though.

RE7/8 are great games, I just enjoy the more urban settings in the series than I do rural ones.

Also, maybe I'm in the minority on this, but I enjoy the characters and universe the previous REs have made and while I do like Ethan, Rose, and all the new things that have come I really wish we could just get proper closure on some story threads before moving on. Also, remake RE6 and make it better this time.

Nah I feel the same way. Great games with great characters and stories, don’t get me wrong, but I can’t wait to dive into Requiem and go back to an urban pre-Ethan setting lol.

anyway great game, like Meresgi said had some of the best parts of previous games with the four different domains, central village location great, four lords bosses were dope as hell, story of 7+8 combined to be the best the franchise has ever told. won't mind a return to the traditional settings and characters either but the Ethan chapters were great stuff, and a whoooole lot better than 5+6 where the series kind've lost its way. interested to see which way Requiem breaks.

Could never get into RE personally, but 5 was a good time, & CV was pick up and play (Easy). More of an MMO, Sports, Beat em' up or platformer guy. Although I may pick up any and everything during the Steam Summer Sale.......Not to play any of them for years.....

As a XI guy, been looking to get into GW2 if that goes on sale some hours away. Money isn't really an issue, but I can sleep at night knowing I purchased a bunch of stuff I will not play for $5-10 instead of $30.

BG3. On act II there was a non-boss random battle giving me some serious trouble, I ended up approaching the battlefield from south this time around all enemies got close to each other and killing one exploded all others no damn idea what/why the fuck that happened but I’ll take the easy win.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is one good Souslike. best exploration / world design of any of them outside of From Software + Unreal Engine indeed optimizes like ass but it is gorgeous. combat real smooth and solid as well. think i'm two bosses away from the end lookin like a 4/5 to join Lies of P as the best to do it outside of Souls itself.
