Got it on switch2 no issues played a couple hours last night.
IDK if any other Granblue Relink players are here but if so: how the fuck did you deal with the final final boss?
Spoiler: show
edit: nevermind, I uninstalled. I got enough fun out of this game. I have no interest in completing a boss fight with strict timing that punishes you hard for every mistake and has literally nothing to do with the actual combat of the game itself. just not worth my time. I like difficult boss fights; I played Elden Ring. I've completed multiple Castlevania games on level 1 cap hard mode where you literally die in a couple of hits. I'm playing Hollow Knight rn and just did another boss fight that took like ten tries and was super hard but also really fun. This? This is not fun. fuck off, cygames
Guess I'm playing Hollow Knight this weekend. Went back to Elden Ring after a long hiatus and forgot what the heck I was doing. Think I was in Lyndell. I've beaten Godrick and whooped into beating the weird womb/egg lady near Rani.
Oh well, Bloodhound Fang and yolo.
edit: wrong thread but anyway hollow knight is great
Whittled away at Hollow Knight for a couple weeks, since everyone else I know was in Silksong mode. I think I'll settle for the 110% completion my save currently has. I have a couple reservations with the game though...

Not sure what I'll work on next. Skate 4 had a proper release recently, and I've been continuing to fiddle with it, despite my dislikes of many aspects of it's current public version.
Did pick up Live-A-Live on sale recently, might chip away at that. Was also thinking of dusting off my WiiU and finishing a couple titles I had on progress on that (StarFox Zero, Bayonetta 2, W101). Not enough time to play all the things I want.
Started playing FFVII intergrade for the first time and have to stop before I stay up all night playing Fort Condor.

I am also coming close to the end of Hollow Knight, I agree with your reservations. Awesome game, but a bit more guidance on main story would probably save some valuable player time. That time would be better spent on optional exploration and side quests. The guy on Dirthmouth give some vague guidance on next target every now and then but that’s definitely not enough.
That's what I was expecting him to be, but ended up not being helpful in the one case I needed him to be. I know I wasn't the only one who got stuck for a few hours at a certain point, since a friend of mine playing the game now is currently stuck at the exact same spot I was.

Really did like the later fights though. Maybe I'll go do some of the Godmaster DLC fight variations before I uninstall the game just to see how they get jacked up.
[EDIT] Someone reminded me FF Dimensions existed, and it was on sale, so I just grabbed it. The backlog shall wait further.
Finally got around to playing Xenoblade Definitive Edition. Wanted to do all the quests since I missed a lot of them in the original game. However I still ended up missing some by the end and there's also some you can only do on a 2nd play through since you get locked out of one path based on choices in other quests. So I ended up just being fine with most quests done. I did beat all the super bosses this time, so there's that. Not sure I even knew they existed when I played the original.
Now I'm playing Monster Sanctuary. It's pretty good so far. Kinda like a metroid-vania with RPG / monster-collector elements. And you unlock traversal tools by collecting the monsters. It's on e-shop and Steam and might be other places.
Got Sidetracked by Fate: Samurai Remnant.
Funny, I almost picked up Monster Sanctuary, but wasn't sure.
Finished the original Hollow Knight. It was quite obvious that I've had the worst ending. 77% completion, 39 hours of playtime.
While frustrating at times, it was a very enjoyable game overall.
i don’t think this is spoilery: if you got the worst ending and called it a day, you’re missing out on one hell of a final boss fight
Yeah, it felt quite meh. Judging from my ending they definitely want the player to keep playing lol. I'll get back to it someday.
I was in the beta for Dragon Quest Smash/Grow, it's v addicting BUT when they do the full release whether or not it remains fun will depend on what exactly they try to paywall.
Playing the Simpsons Fortnite season and contrary to my expectations it is actually incredible. The whole island was redone in Simpsons style with loads of familiar places. I am begrudgingly impressed and will probably get the battle pass for the first time in at least half a year
I really wish they'd make a new Simpsons game already. I haven't touched Fortnite in many years (mostly just played Save the World, which they ruined with updates and put on the backburner in favor of the BR mode), but they did a real nice job capturing the style of the series of what I'm seeing in vids.
I bounced around a few games on my end the past month -
- Spider-Man (PS4, 2018): I grabbed the season pass on sale, and used it as an excuse to also NG+ the base game for trophy clean-up. I enjoyed the DLC content and the stories included, although the three chapters are all short. The NG+ run reminded me how much I really liked this game, MJ sections aside. Fucking hell was the final DLC content tough on hard with the constant rocket launcher spam.
- Miles Morales: Continued off my old save from years ago after finishing NG+ on Spider-Man, and 100%'d it while I was at it. It's alright. Got to experience the whiplash once again of Peter Parker getting plastic surgery compared to the first game on PS4.
- Vampire Survivors: Hadn't touched it in two years, decided to check out the current content and clean up achievements. 12 hours suddenly sucked away on a game I already put 80hrs into. Game is still crack to me apparently.
- Let It Die: Got tired of waiting for a potential re-release of the game (it turns 9 years old next month) that wasn't built around trying to milk your wallet for Death Metals and the Express Passes. I really like what I'm playing a lot and the systems it's using, but I'm only going to play up until I reach a glaring difficulty wall, which hopefully doesn't hit before I'm halfway up the tower. A shame the publisher keeps pushing multiplayer games in this IP at this point.
- Mega Man X Dive Offline: Was morbidly curious about how they adapted a gatcha game to something grindable without any restrictions or server reliance. It mostly boiled down to them putting near everything in an ingame shop to buy with currency (Zenny) you earn by playing the game, and progression locking anything OP until you're further into the story. PVP/Co-Op was removed (expected given the name), and some currencies were consolidated into just being Zenny costs instead. Outside of menuing bs upgrading your gear/weapons, it's mindless, mostly been playing it while listening to podcasts and seeing how long I can keep up with the scaling difficulty as MMZ Zero's.
I don't recommend it though. It barely plays like an MMX game outside of the basic movement, nor does it offer up any challenge in the main story once you wrap your head around the various upgrade systems. Number goes up though and I got a lot of characters to unlock that I want to dabble with.
- Final Fantasy Dimensions: 26 hours into it, and it's FF5 Diet Edition. Story progression is basically non-existent since it's all chopped up into 2-3hr episodes (which was how the original JP phone version was sold, compared to this later 2012 Android version which is just a single purchase), and they try to make the content of each episode as isolated as possible. It's got my ATB, and my Job system, which is enough for me for the 10min sessions I put into it repeatedly.
Loads stupid fast on my ancient phone at least which is a huge plus. Granted the game was built for phones of over a decade ago.
I forgot about Dimensions. I stopped some ways in.
Dimensions II did the same thing as MMX Dive Offline if you're curious.
The sequel comes out on December 5th for PC & PS5.

I keep forgetting Dimensions II was originally a gatcha game. I grabbed both Dimensions a couple months ago when I was reminded they existed, and happened to be half off at the time.
I'm surprised S-E even maintained the games given how old they are, since they've delisted other offline games in the past like the first three entries to Chaos Rings, which came out around the same time period. Sucks that the physical release on Vita never hit here, since it included all four games in one package.
I'm passing Inferno like I did Deathverse due to them being multiplayer focused. I like that LiD is just me vs. the game, which I can play at my own pace without worry, except when some twat decides to invade my waiting room to steal my shit when I'm not there, like FOB invasions in MGSV (I really should get back to finishing that some day).
I don't want to worry about seasonal resets, battle passes, or other fomo crap that plagues every multiplayer game these days, both f2p and paid.
