Started a new character in Division 2 and it's scratching an itch that I haven't felt in awhile. Still pretty complex with the vast number of armor sets and guns. There is also a lot of side content that has been added since I last played. Only negative I've come across is that because there isn't a native current gen version of the game, it suffers from various backend issues. My brother who is on a base PS5 has been facing fast travels with a minute plus load times. On my Pro it's almost instant, but the longer the game is played, the chance for a crash rises. Appears to be a memory leak somewhere in there. BTW, the BG clan is still around.

lmaooooo, that OST is literally prolly the best part of the game. it's an all-timer the composer Lorien Testard did nothing else but compose it for 5 straight years. if you missed it The Game Awards gave brother a lot of love in letting him + the singers open this year (song from near the end of Act 2).

    otherwise

i'm finally getting around to finishing Phantom Liberty + my first playthrough of 2.0 on Cyberpunk. game is now the mastapiece it always should have been.

Definitely a missable one, I think I know where, too. Place that disappears after the world merge.

Did you go in to the waterfall through the back? That's the one I had to go back for.

I moved to a new save every 3-4 hours for such reasons in FF1-3 (I really should get back to that collection and start 4-6). Ended up having to replay a chunk of FF2 due to the damn chests in that one house you need to hit up just before the tornado. Usually end up making a list for myself of the missables that isn't easily tracked via the built-in map tool, but that one slipped me, probably because it's one of the few times in that game you can't 100% an area on the first visit.

I've still been whittling away at the core campaign (apparently I have 11hrs of playtime but it didn't feel like it) and its extras, but fucking hell that game sold me on path tracing when I got my new card. Will be a nice bonus for people going back to it on new hardware in the future, given only around 15% of Steam users could even consider taking the performance hit to turn it on.

Unrelated to that, I need this game out already. I haven't spent this much time on a single-player demo in ages. It isn't quite as liquid crack to me as Vampire Survivors was, at least with what's in the demo, but this game is far more suitable for podcasts due to its turn-based nature.

Probably is fine to miss since I am also missing some Bestiary mobs, some of which were exclusive to story sequences

Hard agree. Vampire Crawlers is an instant buy.

Another one I found is if you like Balatro, have a look at The Loopler. It's a bit more hands off/less constant decision making.

FFVI in progress, such an immediate leap in quality over previous installments and that's said with no shade on them.

Ooo! First playthrough or a replay? I wrapped up a replay last month- but first time on Pixel Remaster (hadn't played since og on SNES). I liked a lot of QoL things but was sad on how they added live voices to the opera house scene. For all the cool features the Pixel remasters have for turning on old music or graphic style I wish they had kept an option in for that. Oh well, thanks youtube!

Replay, but first time in ... well, since it was new on the SNES. The last time I played this game I made it all the way to the final dungeon and then just stopped without ever actually going through it and fighting Kefka.

ye despite being 5+ years old with all the bells and whistles on it remains about the best looking game i've ever seen. CDPR really like future-proofing their products for the PC crowd.

    Good Ole Witcher 2 ubersampling

Took years after release for it to actually be playable on the average gaming PC with it turned on.

Only thing I could ask for is just some better rendering on character skin. It's about the only thing that stands out to me on maxed out settings. But god damn does its path tracing excel in darker areas. Everything 'fits' in the scene in ways that non-static scene elements normally don't in video games.

Wasn't its ubersampling option just basically the game running at 200% resolution? I didn't recall it actually doing anything fancy with the graphics beyond just being a more bruteforce approach to MSAA.
Also, man, fuck me. I've had a retail copy of Witcher 2 and still have yet to get around to beating it.

Fuck's sake I already missed an enemy that only appears once because it didn't randomly generate in any of the formations I fought at the battle of Narshe.

Do I just start over already?
