Also, fuck them hoes I kept my save file.
Spoiler: show
Yeah I need to do that still as well. Couldn't give that up before that
FFVII Intermission has been bested, what a dick that Nero guy is. May or may not try for the hard mode trophies before going after Rebirth.

It had been foggy here recently, and will be for the next 4-5 days.
What better time could there be for replaying SH2 remake, and going for Platinum?
I’m currently finished with 5 out of 8 chapters of Dispatch and it’s been a blast. The voice cast is killer, the humor hits, the animations look fucking crisp. This is the evolution of the Telltale style interactive stories done to near perfection.
Only had like 7 achievements missing in Nier, so just finished that off. I have become as gods.
Only quests left are the colosseums so may do those and then I'll be hopping over to Crimson Desert
Got about 2 hours into FFXVI and I think I already like it more than XV.

Oh it's definitely better than FF15. Better pacing, design, gameplay, just better overall.
FF15s plot might be more ambitious, but I don't think it lives up to it so meh.

16 was actually developed from start to finish with a full plan which it followed, it's a far more complete game.
Am I gonna need to master this dodging and parrying for style points or are the spoils not that important?

I feel like they are not important until you get to some endgame “trials” that are available?
for the most part, you will get proper upgrades that scale with your character as you complete story missions/side quests as they become available
But you should definitely master it so you can feel cool
You’ll wanna master the dodge and the parry because the best Hunt fight in the game is level 50 and I think it unlocks around level 30 and if you want it to be really fun and challenging and take it on 20 levels early as god intended you’ll need to know how to dodge and parry
also i played ff15 years later so i missed a lot of the release shenanigans but i thought it was enjoyable
Dodge is op. Parry I just took them as I got them. My game consistently crashed after a boss fight around 80% of the way through and I never figured out a solution so praise you tubers for uploading all the game scenes.
My biggest gripe with 16 was the side quests really lean into the *side* part. Just do the ones that interest you because my god there's a ton of them and the rewards are doodie. I became good friends with the skip cutscene button for them
FF16 is probably the most egregious example of modern side questing in rpgs. Shit is so sanitized and hand-holdy. I remember doing them and just hoping that in the future SE moves away from that and settles for how shit was done back in the days. Aka, a NPC tells you something, you find what they are looking for by taking a side path while doing the main story and remembering "oh shit! there was that one NPC that was looking for this!" then making the detour to get your reward.
I know for FF16 at least, it was meant to expand the lore of the world but the execution was just ass.
