You gotta slog through the first 2/3 of the quests to enjoy the last 1/3 of them. Even then, they are mid for me cause I didn't care for the characters and their journeys but they give them a conclusion at least? Lol

the sidequests suck yeah but the difficulty remained the biggest issue for me. locking hard behind NG+ is a terrible design choice (you already have a story mode and talismans that play the game for you SE!), and the default difficulty is so braindead nothing there's no challenge to the fights and no necessity to engage with the game's systems on a deeper level. didn't die once the entire shebang.
Wrapping up 6 on Steam so I'll move on to 8 when that's done and 16 on the PS5. After that, I guess Rebirth?

Finished Dispatch, really fantastic interactive story even if the gameplay elements are a bit lacking. There’s a part of me that wants to replay now that I can actually grasp the dispatch gameplay a bit better because I was just winging it the first couple chapters.
in a 30 minute span running terrorized arcane sanctuary in d2, i just pulled 2 um runes, 3 keys of hate, and a max +70 resist all Kira’s guardian. god damn what a run
I have one criticism of XVI so far and it's tied into a larger observation of modern game design in general. I am really split on and leaning towards disliking the constant stream of screen pop ups explaining every new system and feature. This is up there with quest markers for me as a thing that's gotten to the point that it stifles my experience.
I especially don't get why we need quest markers in zones that are basically straight lines. I think we can figure out that if we keep moving forward we'll eventually get where we need to be.
The times when you'd just have to talk to NPCs and eventually find one who would explain things to you or put you through a tutorial seem preferable to me. Or even the games that just make you figure things out yourself.
Aside from that, game has been great so far. Just took down Chirada, looks like I'm going after Benedikta/Garuda next.

The plot really picks up after benedicta. You don't get titties like that again for a while though, until near the end of the game.

I personally need to know all the time when to be on the lookout for titties
I'll take pop-up or "press button to show this helpful thing" prompts over a sidekick character verbally telling me exactly what to do after 5 seconds, giving me no time to enjoy or figure something for myself (hi God of War).
That said, with regards to XVI, I still need to play that, but I'm also still disappointed that the PC release wasn't an excuse to address the general complaints people had with the game, at least as far as questing went, the general difficulty level (why add journalist-tier accessories yet still have the game be easy on top?), and perhaps the combat on trash mobs which I hear get spongy at times.
On my end, 15hrs into Cyberpunk 2077, and finally the story seems to be getting somewhere that isn't just a bunch of NPCs I don't care for or just want to get an opportunity to kill after their respective questline is up. Despite some general image quality blur, game still looks crazy at times with the path tracing on while driving about.

Benedikta’s VA is back in XIV, playing a pretty significant character introduced in Dawntrail patches and looking to be a major player in the next expansion. Incase y’all miss her voice.
