To be fair only Sakura had any relevance in her own story event. Fina barely shows up at all.

I usually skip all the story scenes, since when I came back I was trying to catchup on content quickly. I know the general gist of the story, but should watch a no commentary of season 1 and 2 to really understand. I don't skip the story events though, like the ones with Sakura, Jake, Fina, Chizuru, etc. Chizuru's and Sakura's have been really nice. Jake's was kind of whatever, but okay overall.

I tend to skip all of them since the first Veritas one. I've developed a bad habit of procrastinating story events until the final day and if I don't skip the scenes, I end up taking too long and don't finish in time. I really wish there was a daily to complete one stage during the event, might just give me enough of a push to stay up on them. I keep telling myself I'll start doing one a day to avoid that situation, yet I keep procrastinating, Case in point, I haven't touched Jake's story yet. ._.

I've always felt that way about it. A few seemed to be kind of one off stories that just focused on characters scarcely mentioned or just telling a story about the new banner units. But many seem to focus on main characters of the story. It's always rubbed me as strange to lock the story behind an event. Sure, make the drops/gear tied to the event if they really must, but leave the stories in their own Vortex tab with mission rewards for those who miss it or join late. Ideally, stories like this shouldn't really be an event, it should just be content additions to the game.
