First Step Up 11 got me the wrong 5*. Still dumping tickets.

Got Sephiroth on a normal ticket. Final spend count o think was

1 11x step up
1 90% Blue ticket
3 4* Tickets
28 Normal tickets.

I got lucky. My brothers however did not.

Brother A:
60 total summons - 0 rainbows

Brother B:
3x Step up summon, LuLu
90% Blue ticket got him Luneth
Stopped for now.

Why should they do different things when they have they same units?

Better question, why should i have to go to an entirely different page to do the exact same pull on the exact same units?

You can be angry all you want I would be too man, but it’s beyond obvious when you go to the summon page which one is and isn’t the step up. Like I said it’s probably a technical reason. Possibly having to do with the fact you’re only allowed 3 passes with the step up where as normal is infinite.

The step up banner can only be used for 3 passes. 15 pulls total. Idk how they could combine the banners like that it’s probably just easier to separate them because of those limits.

Side question. Sitting on 4 TT at the moment, and let’s assume I never pull another TT. Is her STMR something I should want badly immediately upon release, or would two decked out TT 7 stars be better? I ask so I don’t waste resources enhancing a second one.

Her STMR is +3 DEF +3 SPR +33% MP and 50% MP Cost Reduction for spells/abilities. Very niche and it does nothing for making units better via stats which is what most people focus on. She may be a good case for dual 7*s, specially since she can quad cast her shit turn 1.

Running with 575% bonus I just got a 7 round legend run with 2 sets of bonus mobs. 3 on each of them. Ended up with 44k coins. This step up for king mog is bonkers.

Given my recent luck with 5k pulls, seeing guaranteed 5 stars on the banner with decent units and TMRs I gave it a go and I'm glad I did. One cycle through netted me 1x Sephiroth, 3x Lila, 1x Elfreeda, 1x Reberta, 8x Shylt, 11x Mim. So now I am 1 more Reberta away from a guaranteed STMR since I have the moogles. I finally got something for the TDH meta in Elfreeda. I hope Lila gets GL buff for 7* as I have read she falls off. Only need 1 more of her for STMR, haven't looked into if its any good.

Now I have to decide if my upcoming trust moogles will be used to accelerate Elfreeda or Sephiroth's TMRs first. I am leaning toward Elfreeda as its more versatile especially after I picked up Olive in the failed CG Fina hoarding attempt.

What is everyone's opinion on hoarding TMRs past STMR? I have saved up 4 100% moogles for Prompto/Aranea, I have 1 more waiting for Reberta #4 but I can easily save more of those with the raid active. Part of me says its a waste, part of me says, yeah until you pull Reberta #5 and can't turn her in for the coin exchange that's coming.

I think you don't understand how STMR works. You don't need the TMRs for STMR, you just need the units. For instance, I'll farm a single aurora scarf for lightning's 7* form to get her ability. However to get STMR you just make a 7* and then merge in the other 2 lightning dupes.

You don't need 2 7 star @50%? I haven't looked into it past the initial threads outside their original announcement. Saves me a lot of damn farming since I currently have 5 5* that I have 3 of at the moment. Just waiting on 4th for any of them but looking at Reberta's easy to acquire trust made her the lead candidate if I had to farm up all their tmr.

I'll be the jerk that's not a fan of this step-up system. 25k lapis for a guaranteed 5* of the banner is a lot of resources for the F2Per and is probably a one-time deal over a long period of time if you're not starting fresh and have mission rewards and such to capitalize on. Meanwhile, I look to how DanMemo handles their step-ups and translate it to BE currency, it'd be like the first pull costing 2.5k, 3k, 3.5k, then a guaranteed 5* banner unit for 4k. In the end, that'd be 13k vs the current 25k, and makes saving a more reasonable suggestion.

Gumi gonna Gumi, I guess. Wouldn't be so bad if they were more generous with lapis, but even with ticket options for single pulls, it's so fucking dumb that off-banner units seem more likely than on.

I don't mind FFBE step up banners. It'd be nice if it was more of a growth currency step up. If only DanMemo didn't have super expensive currency/paid pulls only, I'd probably drop some money into it for step-ups and the such. Still, pull tickets tend to be very generous in FFBE that you're likely to end up with something decent over time as F2P. It's not nearly as big a deal if you skip on certain banners.

This is pretty much it (except you don't merge units for the 7* awakening, you turn one of them into a crystal that is the only material required) however it's strongly suggested to not rush it and actually awaken two units to 7* before merging for the STMR because that counts for the new missions that are potentially coming out (and yes, they are retroactive in case they pop later like in JP).

Here's the link. The jist of it is:

7*
-Turn a 5* base unit (no matter it's current level or form) into a gem that is only usable on that unit
-Enhance a 6* max leveled 5* base unit with the gem
= 7*

STMR
-Enhance a 7* unit with the same unit of any level or form for 50% STMR progress (or 100% STMR progress if a 7*)

There's also a fringe way to earn an extra 50% all trust moogle when creating an STMR by using 5 units. I dunno how useful throwing away a 5* base unit for a 50% moogle is though, specially with the maxed TMR currency exchange coming out.
