I love this event, not the timer, but what it does.

Its been a beast for farming Megacrysts for Hero Rings on my brothers account... Its simply unparalleled for that. The items from the vendor shop were a bonus... I purchased the Staff, Attack+20% and the Moon... and I think thats it. Might go back for the Amulet if I feel like it but outside of that its just farming Megacrysts lol

Quick Assault (10), Spirit of Freedom (10), Kiyomori (10), Assassin's Vest (10), Ring of the Lucii (25), Raven Beret (5), innate 30 makes 100% evasion, Discernment for Null All ailments, Safety Bit for Null Death, and Holy Lance for Light damage (seals his dumb move). Man-eater + Diabolos for 100% more damage. Have fun!

I barely found motivation to farm for the mag weapon, 20% attk and full moon.
Time based events irritates me to no end, I'm glad it was only for a week.

Same here. Was too buggy to get invested in for me. Yeah they fixed it but the damage had been done. Plus tmr better for me in the long run. I doubt I'm going to pull hard on this banner. Have tillith and the 3 and 4* have decent tmr but I've got a huge backlog as it is.

Next banner should be the Four Fiends and I'd love to pull Barbariccia honestly but the other 3 seemed like pure trash from the datamine :/ I'll see how dailies go with Ayaka and decide from there I guess.

The event is not actually totally fixed yet. There's one screen that has no minimap (if you enter from a specific one of the other zones) until you pick up the harvesting point, and if you zone in without the harvesting point present then it won't ever show up.

Also, I'm pretty sure that running this event bugs out your encounter rate in normal explorations. Normally you have to walk a minimum (of 20 steps?) in a screen after zoning in or finishing a previous encounter before you can have another encounter. This event seems to set that number to 0. It's either that or the patch itself, but when I do explorations without having done this event, I think my encounter rate is fine..

Here is how I understand the event to work:
* The yellow mist screen can have four star giltrappers on it, but it's totally not worth farming them.
* I haven't figured out what the multi-colored mist screen's mob is, but it probably has one.
* If there's a fish statue, that zone line takes you to the mermaid 100% of the time. There are two screens with fish statues.
* The entry screen's exit warps you to the same location every time.
* Otherwise, when you hit a zoneline you're randomly warped to a set number of areas depending which zoneline you hit.
* There is one set of areas without harvesting points and another set with harvesting points.
* You can access the harvesting point areas either by going out the bottom-left of the non-harvesting _|_ zone next to the bromeliad, or by going to the non-harvesting mermaid room, leaving, and leaving the exit area.
* If you use the correct exits from all the screens that have or had harvesting points, you will never be warped to a non-harvesting point area (apart from the entryway to the mermaid room.)
* If you hit an incorrect exit from a screen, there's some chance you will be warped back to the place that the entry zone dumped you off.
* There are two ways to get to the exit. You will either be dumped in from the mermaid area or can go up past a bromeliad in a -', zone in the harvesting set (left, up, lower right exits).

So my strategy is:
* Enter event, run to the nearest exit, zone
* Zone back and forth until I'm either placed at the lower right of the _|_ zone (which will always have the bromeliad from this zoneline) or warped to the non-harvesting mermaid room entrance right by the fish statue.
* Kill the mermaid or farm harvesting point and then do the other, making sure not to get warped away from the harvesting point areas.

I have been averaging north of 25 megacryst per run.

Gonna need to do a 2nd run in a few hours since she wound up counter killing him and no amount of reloading would keep her from doing it. Think someone mentioned to wait until he was at 0% to limit, so either they fixed that as a display issue or the window is pretty small.
