When do we think 7* will come to GL?

Without breaking out a spreadsheet and other shit I'd assume around 8 months. We do tend to get QoL a few months earlier than expected though.
When it comes to predicting things gumi seems to always choose 1 month ahead of what -I- guess would be smart business decision times.

Those STMRs border between amazing and junk, considering the investment to get them. I'm pretty sure 2x 7* units will out perform the STMRs in most DPS unit situations.

I agree though. Some of the 7* units would be better to have dupes of.

Shadow Lord and Joachim as new XI units btw? I mean Shadow Lord I kinda get but... Joachim? Really? And a second form of Shantotto which... yeah, expected seeing as she's the most overhyped character in the game.

I was also thinking, the inverse correlation between how much you pull and how likely the next pull is to give you something "good" is a major reason I always eventually fatigue out on these games. I would guess that's why they added dupes as a requirement to get 7* units; so what's old is new again. but either way when you reach a point where even the majority of 5*s are boring pulls to you, the likelihood of being excited by a pull result is pretty low, and gacha games will always reach that point eventually. slower if you're unlucky, but you'll get there. new units can only do so much to allay this problem; how many different ways of dealing and healing/preventing damage can Gumi implement without obseleting old units?

He's the Abyssea NPC. At least he's slightly more memorable than Kupipi and Werei.

aka the dude who has afk'd in Jeuno for the last several years. he has a pretty impressive rock collection tho

kupipi wasn't as shocking to me as werei since at least she has a trust spell in XI and is part of several windurst missions and quests. Werei is mentioned in literally 1 cutscene ever and then never talked about again.

Not to mention the game has characters like Aldo, Gilgamesh (well, maybe not since we already have classic Greg), Lion, the Arc Angels, Nashmeira, Gessho ... just so many who are actually crucial to their stories and they're using the most random NPCs. Why not do a nation event where you have Curilla, Ayame, and Apururu as 4*s and then Wolfgang or Esha'ntarl for 5? Or Tenzen. Just such a wealth of options and yet... Kupipi and Werei.

Do we have confirmation of how December banners are gonna work? Are we getting step up banners? Guaranteed 5*? Cloud banner? etc etc etc

Marie is really strong support and she absolutely shines in battles with lots of elemental attacks, especially ones with multiple elements.


the fact that this guy (who I don't even know because I never did Abyssea) is coming before Lion is an absolute travesty.


also, where is Ma'at come on man. he could be unlocked through a really nasty solo trial, it would be so fitting.

Personally say SE is being tightfisted about the rights to more memorable XI characters and Gumi's just not willing to spring to put 'em in their game. Would also say similar is why we've seen no representation from VII and VIII until recently in JP.

It's actually a good thing imo, I don't want them to add Ayame, Curilla or others into FFBE as 4*s just so they can be benched in the 7* meta.

No confirmations. The data breach had the guaranteed 5* banners, and JP has gotten them in the past, so it's a safe bet I think. Even more so since everyone knows 7*s are coming down the line at some point, they'd be silly not to start cashing in on those sure fire sales. I'd imagine real step up banners are a good 6 months away still. We may get some other things though, like TM moogles, SQs, maybe more setups like Ariana's crystals, etc.

I dunno how Gumi is working with Alim/SE for the GL version for the ability to add characters, but I'm pretty sure I read that SE and Alim work very closely together for the JP version. AFAIK, the people doing the youtube streams, fan festas, etc, are SE employees and not Gumi or Alim personnel.

Cloud is due for December but he hasn't been announced just yet so I'm not too sure. All we know is Roy is getting released and that we're getting the Christmas units (new and old) this month.
My guesses are: Roy this week> story event with Duke and his gang (aka Mistair's banner) next week> Cloud> Christmas banners.

Marie(enhanced) has been a solid slot spot for the 10 man and latest trials for me. Also, Anyone else's friends list Currently all Noctis? Trying to do Moon trial and Marlboro trials and I keep running into lack of companion.

I know mine is. Hardly any gladioulus. I don't mind the bonus is nice.
