Used all the ex tickets they gave us (12 3* and 2 4* I think?). Received Wilhelm #1, Queen #2 and a William. Really happy about Wilhelm, pretty happy about dupe Queen since her 7* is supposedly good, and happy to get a MK unit. Going to hold off on rest of my resources and just use daily pulls till we find out more about the Xmas units.

Either way. I’ve warned my brothers. This banner is a sleazy trap. Every unit on the banner is useless except Cloud who requires TMRs from this banner to not be useless. Including 2 of the 5* TMRs. 3 5* needed total. Again, trap, not only at whales but at anyone who likes FF7 or the minnows and such to do a huge payout for nostalgia.

totally unrelated note: am I the only one who hasn't done any of the villager quests? I literally have never touched them except for the ones that are necessary to unlock the vaults/espers. noticed that today while looking for a Water recipe

In the long term, I think DKC's STMR will end up being BiS for Cloud. I ended up with Cloud on my 5th or so pull then dumped another 25 tickets chasing Eifreed but gave up now.

Had 5 tickets and one 4 star ticket. 4 Star ticket got me Elfreeda. Got one normal ticket from the FF7 event and that got me Cloud. Wasn't expecting it at all.

70 tickets, 4* ticket, and the 2 4* EX tickets, got me my fourth Emperor and the wind Four Fiend chick. Don't really want to invest anything more, 50 was my cutoff but I was rainbowless and literally only had like 4 gold crystals at that point, with none of them being William. Went 20 more tickets plus the 4* and EX tickets, got me 3 Williams and the rainbows on those. Times like that, makes you look back at the previous 50 and wonder what coulda been with slightly better luck. With the need of so many 5*s on this banner, it's not worth chasing any further less I want to go all in.

Finally beat the Holy Rod trial, and considering how TM heavy I am and how many amazing characters, including my Wilhelm with 11,500HP, 750DEF and 500 SPI... It was still the most infuriating bullshit I've ever done in this game. 15+ attempts fine tuning strategies. Not having a functioning AoE breaking made the Seeds a pain, which i Circumvented by having Illusionist Nichol use Evade on Wilhelm to avoid the 1-turn KO they do on him DESPITE HIS BULLSHITLY HIGH TANK STATS cause they were always broken.

Either way. Fuck that fight. My Shit-tier Fake Ayake Ariana now has a new staff and I never want to hear that whores name ever again FUCKING FUCK I could have broken my wrist in rage beating my desk at some of the dumb mistakes I made that cost me the fight in a single turn (Provoke wearing off, Attack debuffs, etc...)
