In niche cases where only one person needs to get hit for a significant amount damage, maybe. Otherwise WKN doesn't have a lot of use compared to easily available units like WoL or Mystea.

I don't recall ever using an AoE cover tank... I've just used Wilhelm since I got him and before that P.Cecil. WKN is a monstrously good tank with his enhancements and brings some Ice-flavored utility. People really upsell AoE tanking and I can't say I've done anything to date that required it, I'm sure that'll change in the future but to date Wilhelm has gotten me through every trial up minus Malboro who I just haven't attempted since he came out.

(PS not saying AoE tanking isn't fantastic, Illusionist Nichol exists too)

WKN is currently the best Provoke tank in the game if you only need that, better than Wilhelm. Wilhelm has more utility and a guaranteed 7* in the "near" future but Noel has some crazy good counters. If you don't need Wilhelm's utility in a fight Noel is a better option.

Killed Gingerbread trial, very easy with Landu chains, Ayaka and Wilhelm. Pulled on Noel's banner with the ticket>rainbow>Noel. Yay! Now to farm for his enhancements..

Interesting new years bundle. 2 10+1 tickets 5k lapis 10% moogle 20 energy pots 201800gil. And giant of every cryst for 48bucks. Kinda bummed no fountain of lapis. That was a nice deal. First pull of the new year for me was Lenna.

First pull of the new year was a ticket on the WKN banner: Rainbow! Christine #2!

Bought the bundle. Used one of the 10+1 tickets:
Double rainbow! Duke and Ayaka! Boom!

Used another 10+1. Rainbow again! Olive!

So far I'm liking my luck in the new year, even if Duke and Olive are basically useless dupes for me. Ayaka and Christine are nice additions!

Agree completely. I would happily pay for fountain every month. Even if the content isn't always super well polished(See this Christmas event), I'd like to support them at least a bit.

As it stands the lapis:rainbow ratio is too craptacular for me to buy lapis normally. I'd rather buy Cuphead, or Nier, or any of the other great games from 2017 than spend $30-50 for 10 blues and a yellow.

Looks like we might have another maintenance today. Tons of connection errors. People on Reddit saying the same things. Was able to pop on for a few mins earlier but almost constant connection errors since. Guess it's the universe saying don't use the freebie 10+1 ticket today.
