KB took a bit to learn and changing things around with setup. It not that consistent. I have to juggle Quistis' Glint/USB, while doing some DPS. And if Aerith doesn't atleast proc her LM2 at some parts, it starts to go south.

I'll start working on water magicites this week.

EDIT: Also got Famfrit to 1% HP on a test run on first try. Can probably get it easily with more refinement and actually looking at the AI.

yeah i felt bad having to bench yuffie since i've got all of her water kit + glint, but without the break to soften the incoming damage just a tiny bit i don't think i'd be able to survive getting off that first elarra USB. iirc there's a few moves that blow up shadows as well so blender strats aren't as strong as usual here. the imperil is especially nice for me since my tidus doesn't have enwater access using the rotation i have available & no LMR, so once those start to stack up a bit, his damage goes up quite significantly even when the chain resets.

Belias isn't that bad. My setup was Palom USB (Vivi can sub), Rydia Water BSB, Tidus Chain Sapphire Shot + Power Break, Elarra, OK mUSB DPS setup. It's about sitting on your magicite to skip the first Berserk on Phase 1 Turn 10, lining up magicite casting with the Phase 2/Turn2 Slot 1+5 beatdown, power break the following turn, then Phase 2/Turn 4 AoE that hits really hard if Belias is enraged/atk buffed.

My hone counts with some room to spare is Palom (Most likely to run out of hones) - Chain Waterja R4, Chain Waterga R5, Rydia Lunar Levi R4, Opogo R3 (don't think I used it), OK R4 Voltech.

hmm good to know. actually already have the voltech, LL and ogopogo, but only an R3 chain waterga (MBO is my bottleneck there but i think i'm sitting on a few thousand 4*s so plenty of conversion fodder) and R0 waterja atm. my fire/ice crystal stock is pretty good (150+ on both) but only 40 black crystals. already dumped most of my greens on black crystals for chain thundaja so it's gonna take a while to get restocked.

BARELY won against Belias. I think I need to switch out Meia for Edge for last stand, because P3 Savage Hellfire or w/e it's called SUCKs, even w/o rage mode and ATK/MAG breakdance is still doing 8k+ on everyone.

Best run with W-Casts and Laguna going nuts on imperils has me getting to about 20% before i'm overwhelmed with damage. And thats with OK ignoring Laguna entrust and keeping Elarra USB stocked. If Laguna doesn't even hit his average of 60% imperil with Offering and LMR, then i'm dead around 50%.

Cautious to bump Celes' SSS to R5 because the solution may be to dump her and grab a physical ice USB off the select, or dive Umaro and plug him in with his USB.

Just overall frustrated because I shouldn't need an awakening or ASB to clear with what I have, but I can't even clear.

Can you run relm usb, or fit someone else who has last stand in? Otherwise that final syldra combo is really hard to survive (elarra's not optimal for the hard part of the battle)

Possible double healer setup also. Drop OK. Only 2 turns in phase 3 are unblinkable so Rosa USB is an option if available (Wrath + Hastega.) Ace Striker on Laguna if you're juggling Chain + USB. Squall Tyro RM99.

Tried swapping in Aerith with USB2 for Elarra. Mixed results, but still death. And I don't see a path to non-death really but I may try one or two more times. I did have one really good run in spite of Laguna having ZERO (yes, none) imperil procs in 28 seconds before death happened.

May try Relm or a 2x healer. If I go 2x healer and drop OK though, Laguna would need to start with Dr. Mog for the +atk from chain, wouldn't he? He doesn't really have trouble juggling Chain and USB as he is now without it.

Maybe I just need to skip to Chupon and ease my frustration for a bit until anniversary.

Managed to beat down Geosgaeno after an hour or so of trying different things. Clear isn't really consistent. Stone Punch is a fucking bitch. First clear was 31s, second clear was in the 50s >.> Have to time Sazh USB to hit right before stone punch hits. If it helps, I don't have enough time to kill it before Palom/Ashe die. Curse all of you with Elarra USB.

Yeah, I can't seem to do Syldra at all. Which leads me to believe im still doing something wrong since clears happen with less.

I tried popping Rem in for dual healers. More mixed results. Without an entrust I run out of healing power at High Stakes.

Swapped Umaro with USB/BSB in for Celes without diving him and used Squall's BSB2 instead of his USB2 trying to see if I could turtle. Nope. High Stakes.

There has to be something I am not doing right and it is driving me insane. An arcane cannot be the solution here. Maybe my turn use or order is just off somewhere. I'll try a few more runs with more successful sets and track turn by turn.

No godwall, but I swapped Aerith USB2 in for Elarra originally after suggestions. Dumped OK for Relm, gave her Hastega, and had to move Dr. Mog to Laguna for the atk boost through Chain.

Maybe I should do Godwall on USB select, because I do have Tyro's Crit USB, and try that instead. Fabula Priestess then in that case?

I'm just hesitant to "waste" usb select on Godwall because I am capping damage with chain up on SSS. How would that setup work then for materia? Between having healing ready, Laguna CSB, or Tyro who doesn't get DM/MM to start?

Godwall not necessary. So you can run this setup. Yea requires SSS R5 because Celes going to eat those hones.

Your run will probably be around 40 seconds. CSB will be recast as necessary (@~19 + ~34 seconds)

Squall casts Wall on 1st turn, everyone else is busy. Celes will be the magicite user.
Phase 3 is still going to be rough. But you will only need to recast Hastega during phase 2 (~20 sec). No need to recast Shellga + RW wall since everything pierces/gravity in phase 3. I'm going to assume with Laguna + Squall you will be pushing Phase 2 early compared to me, so you have 2/3 extra turns in phase 2.

Last stand may be needed for Phase 2 turn 2 and phase 2 turn 10. I only guess based on my runs.
Hold Celes + Relm for high stakes for Relm USB (Top off here) and Banishing Strike. 70% max HP Gravity will not trigger Last Stand the following turn.

Chiming in as well for Phoenix/Belias farming being done. Felt the exact way about Belias until I sacrificed Meia for Edge, last stand and regenga from Elarra makes him WAY more bearable to deal with.

Anyway, only need to level my last Phoenix to start on Manticore... Terra bUSB and Papa BSB/OSB will hopefully be enough with Edgar spamming imperils.

Beat Manticore after a brutal 5-6 hrs of party modification. This guy made Phoenix/Belias look like 4* magicite. Had to go double healer and even then ended up just SB heal spamming at the end. Almost lost when party ate a 9k Savage breath and then sap insta killed 3 of them, thankfully Elarra got off a Curada on Papalymo, which gave him enough health to finish Manticore with his OSB.

Not touching this guy again till I get a fire chain or AOSB or AASB.

Phoenix was worthless, never broke dmg cap, so imperil fire magicite would probably be better.
