    Double Madeen for life.

    5* Setup:
    Triple Empower
    Double Dampen, HP
    HP/BladeW/SpellW
    Madeen - BladeW/SpellW or MND/Heal
    Madeen - ATK/ATK(or crit dmg) or MAG/MAG

    6* Setup:
    6* Double Empower
5* Double Dampen, HP (replace w/ WIP magicite as needed, ex Shiva vs Shiva)
HP/BladeW/SpellW --> Replace with Alex HP/Heal (no point in double empower Alex since always running Madeens)
    Madeen - BladeW/SpellW or MND/Heal (pre-Alex)
    Madeen - ATK/ATK(or crit dmg) or MAG/MAG

WOdin will eventually go BladeW/SpellW. As you add elements to WOdin, can replace 2nd empower w/ HP and ditch the dampen for the corresponding 6* magicite. Not too sure what the WIP deck should look like cause you need to consider both physical and magical WOdins.

    Final setup would look like...
    6* Empower HP
6* (dampen element) Empower HP (cause you're not making a 2nd defensive 6*, fuck that noise)
    WOdin BladeW/SpellW
    Madeen HP/Heal
    Madeen ATK/ATK or ATK/CritDMG or MAG/MAG

Letting the 6* replace your offensive buff gives you an additional offensive buff on top of the double surging power, whereas the 5*'s don't really have unique attack buffs
I still use two Madeens, I forgo Dampens in favor of Double Attk Boon Madeen, and Double Crit Madeen for Physical.

...or Double Magic Madeen, and Double Fast Act Madeen.

The Dampens are replaced by the next 6 star in the chain, here is my Ifrit deck.

Ifrit - B Ward, HP Boon
Shiva - S Warp, HP Boon
    Belias - Crit+ E Fire 15
    Madeen - Double Fast Act
    Madeen - Double Attk Boon

That 3rd (and most certainly 4th) Stat Boon on the Madeens is very weak when considering the diminishing returns after the 2 All Boons on the 6*'s. Even more if factoring in Artifact weapons and gen 2 or 2.5 chains.

Would you recommend Attk/Crit Dmg, over Attk/Attk Madeen?

...cause I just happen to have one <.<

There was a time i was so bored that I did nothing but farm Madeens. TONS of Madeens, it was a dark (and kinda boring) time.

You may get enough push with a 3rd Mag Boon on a Madeen just because of the higher magic cap, but not much.

Personally for a physical support Madeen Crit Rate + Crit Dmg Boost. For a magical support, some mages can still benefit from a 3rd HP Boon along with that 3rd Mag Boon or a Fast Act. Could also do a Mag + Mind Boon for holy magic teams if you run Minwu or Rem. Or, since 5*'s are a lot easier to inherit to max, just have a separate Mind Boon + Fast Act or HP Boon for White Mage teams.

I also personally love a Healing Boon + Fast Act to slot into both physical or magical teams. That 10% healing boost helps a lot with everyone getting +12-14% HP and also boosts Regenga which a lot more have access to now instead of just Elarra/Rosa.

Pre WOdin, you have 2x 10 all boons. That gives you +15% stats.

    Adding a single atk20: 20 + 5 + 3 = 28%.
    Adding two atk20's: 20 + 10 + 3 + 2 = 35%.

    After WOdin, you have 15 all boon + 2x 10 all boons. That gives you 15 + 5 + 3 = 23%.

    Adding a single atk20: 20 + 8 + 3 + 2 = 33%.
    Adding two atk20's: 20 + 10 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 37%.

Please correct my math if it's wrong.

The first boon is still worth it for sure, pre WOdin the second one is probably still worth it - post it may be a bit more questionable.

Madeens are flex for a reason. If you have a team that's fully boarded with artifacts and proper boosts, sure, flex something different. But there's still characters without record boards, and you may be putting a team together that may not have the necessary artifacts or you're lacking a proper boost.

ATK/ATK can probably be safely replaced w/ ATK/critDMG if the setup is fine. Magic characters are probably fine with the extra magic, but I'm sure you could flex something else if you wanted.

    Yesterday was pretty productive.

    Dark Weak Omega - check
    Holy Weak Omega - check
    Holy Weak Odin - check

My holy team with Alexander has built a little of my confidence for Diabolos, but I don't have much in terms of holy chains, or stacking enHoly outside of Pecil. I don't know if that'll be enough. If memory serves, it wasn't for Leviathan, but we'll see how it goes.

That leaves me all done everything except the 6* for the opposing damage type.
Titan, Ramuh, Leviathan, Ifrit, Valefor, Alexander (all magical) and Shiva (physical)

I used Rinoa in my Physical party so I can perhaps tackle magic Valefor and my Magical water team may be pretty good to try Ifrit too... (shudder).

We should soon get the debuff for magicites dmg reduction for not having enElement, yeah?

Yeah pretty sure we got this. It was to reduce the reduction to non infused party members when doing damage to 6* Magicites.

This is what I saw on GameFaqs:

"Characters without En-Element now deals x1.75 damage to Ramuh, x2.0 to Alexander."

Got Ifrit down but only just. I got lucky in a couple parts and had bad luck in a few others, so I'm not really sure how reliable my team is. The final stretch was terrible because I was counting on Rydia suiciding to take out all the last pillers, but she had been killed somehow earlier and lost her Awakening, but she had reraise so I was hoping for a normal double proc and didn't get it. This was followed by a triple proc from OK starting on a pillar and ending on Ifrit which pushed him down far enough to trigger the pillar attack. It didn't wipe me but I had basically no healing thanks to the added effect so the last bit was a dmg race where I only just pulled ahead.

The team may be more reliable now thanks to the +/-10% dmg from his magicite, but I guess I'll find out. Even with how strong my water team is, there are just so many random variables that have to align for a win to come together :\ I think people rank Ifrit among the tougher ones though my water team is also one of my stronger ones. Going to try and farm up 3 more copies before moving onto Shiva.

I haven't looked into her much yet, but I do have Squall's x2 AASB quad-cast ridiculousness on the physical side, and Terra/Vivi AASB/AOSB on the magic side, so hopefully that one won't be so bad. I don't think she has any mechanic that forces you to slow down dmg so Squall might be the way to go because I only have physical fire chains, and while I don't have Auron's AASB to run with after popping chain, I do have his USB that has a dmg cap break chaser/finish and should at least allow him to put out decent dmg with the 6* sam abilities, and Balth will do his imperil thing. Probably will need Tyro to cap out the 29,999 quickly for max dmg, but with Balth's imperils then maybe he won't need Tyro and I can pull in Sora for a 2nd AASB

I also cleared Ifrit Magical yesterday. My first time completing the second damage type for a magicite so huzzah!

That being said, if you haven't already, you can unequip any and all dual cast to help cut out some of the randomness (I hated doing it in my Physical team). What I had done with my magic team, is take out some pillars with USB refreshes. I had Strago for chain with Ogo Pogo to soften them up. I'd have to do a little magic buffing at the start of the fight to make sure he'd cap damage on the first cast (ie Mog USB, Elarra Mages Hymn, and Mog Passionate Salsa). Once he cast the first time, I'd plug one pillar with a regular attack so his second cast would take one out and leave the other 3 at 0.1%. This allows for anyone else to attack and spread the pain status around a bit.

My memories of Shiva are that she got quite beefy in P3 because she'd start stacking dampen fire on herself, and fire atk - on members of the party. So a stacking fire glint may be helpful. I can't remember if it's tied to the absorption of her ice walls in P3 or not, but I had Terra take them out with her (if still active) Sync CMD 2. Her AASB would be helpful too. A lot of people just ignore them too.

Got another win last night that was much more stable, but it's very subject to double procs not going off at the start. Everything went according to plan that time (mostly) and Rydia was able to suicide on the last stage and take all the pillars out at once. I'm using Elarra as the main healer (GSB+/USB/AASB) and as a second healer I'm using Selphie with Booyaka Slots (instant/regenga/last stand/qc2) and Trabia Slots (instant/large heal/reraise/astra) so as not to worry about berserk, and it's actually proving to be useful because the reraise gives that last line of defense once the pillars hit her 4 times in sequence thus allowing her to actually survive. I thought about using lenses to get her Full Slots Cure (instant/large heal/last stand/major regen) but I didn't want to overwrite regenga with major regen (I just presume it can overwrite) and not having healing attached to Booyaka Slots doesn't seem to be all that noticeable with all the healing being thrown around.

Right now I start the fight with Rydia using Dark Leviathan for 40k AoE, then have OK/Strego pick one pillar off each with an attack, have Selphie throw Leviathan magicite at one for quick AoE pain, and then Rydia follows up with another Dark Leviathan to take out the last pillar. This is really the only major part of the fight that has to go right. I forgot that Strego could use summoning so I might try having him start it off by using Ogo to take out that variability. It would probably be more stable to take off all the double procs but it seems to add so much needed dmg at the end.

If the tanky-ness of Shiva is all there is then I don't think I have to worry. Balth should be able to stack imperil effectively, and between Ifrit's element bonus on use and Squall's +3 element along with enElement, he should hopefully have enough element+ to withstand a bit of debuff there, but we will see.

Holy cow. Went in raw dogging Shiva without prep and won in 32 seconds.

Granted, Noct/Locke/Balth melted her. But still. Time to figure out how to sub 30 this piece and move onto what should have been Garuda.

Got my 4 Ifrits done :D

Each kill right around 45 seconds. I'm not sure how people sub 30 this just based on the pillars alone. Between his AASB and Sync, OK seems to have enough dmg alone to dps him in 30 seconds, but dealing with those pillars takes turns that eat into the clock.

On to Shiva! Lets see if I can also down her lol. No Syncs, but I have a feeling Squall's x2 AASB will eat her
